Step-Brother Shifter

Rate this book
Sometimes the best protection comes in the form of a predator.

When her stepbrother saves her from a would-be attacker, Hana is ecstatic that the one person she could trust from her childhood is back in her life. Lucas is strong—and boy is he sexier than ever—but he’s changed over the past year. Why do his eyes glow red? Why is it so hard for him to control his urges? And why is he suddenly so possessive of her?

Lucas has been training for months in controlling his lycan side, and now he just can’t wait any longer—he will return to Hana, he will make her his…and he will do everything it takes to lead her during her own mysterious shifting metamorphosis.

For there are monsters coming, and their target is the one young woman he needs more than life itself.

But how can he protect her, claim her, and love her when the most dangerous monster of all is coursing its way through his hot lycan heart? The beast within drives him, pushes him to take, to devour, to mark and possess. Can he claim his own family as a mate? Or is he simply too far gone into being a predator, viewing her as the most succulent of prey?

I am an author, artist, and incurable romantic with a passion for a good story well told, just trying to make a living doing what I love.

"It's easy to understand Chance if you work from the assumption that he was raised by wolves and a drunken Irish library janitor."-- Connor Logan, fellow author.

"Chance is what happens when you raise a kid without a game console, but provide the complete works of the Marquis de Sade."-- (a partner in crime who shall remain nameless)

Skip this one fellow readers. This author has written much better books. Highly recommend Please, Daddy .

No relationship development. Step siblings had been together since he was 5 and she was 3. Yes, he protected her like a big brother but there was nothing beyond that. Siblings came together after becoming sexually attracted to each other. For, sister when she watched her brother have sex with his girlfriend. For step brother, after he shifted into a werewolf.

Besides lack of romantic love, there was no world building for this paranormal world. Not continuing with second book because not convinced this was anything besides littermate dogs in heat. Besides, the sex wasn't good enough for PWP.

Thank you, Daddy (Daddy Caleb book 2) by Kayar Chance

Absolutely loved this second installment of the Daddy Caleb series. Caleb and Penny have been in their relationship for a while now. The complexity of the relationship has continued to grow and evolve.

Unlike to the first book this installment has many twists and turns that were unexpected to say the least. Caleb continues to play the relationship close to the chest and keeps his feelings for Penny at arm’s length. Penny on the other hand is enjoying the relationship and wants there to be a more permanence to it. Currently they are only together on the weekends and the DD/lg relationship has flourished.

We are learning more about Penny’s home life with her step mother Gwen and the world she grew up in. Gwen throws a wrench into Penny’s happy life when she states they will be moving to New York. That is all that I’m going to say about what happens in this book because I don’t want to give anything away. I will tell you this…….the book has a lot of action, sex, mystery and love that is just waiting to be discovered by its readers. I highly recommend Kayar’s books in generally but this series has been very fun to read. The characters are getting better and better with each book.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK…..PLEASE READ!

This was my first read for this author. Going in, I assumed it would be hot. It's a shifter romance, so for me that equals hot all by itself.

Hot? Not even close. The subject matter was taboo and just my type of smut that keeps me interested and coming back for more. Let's see if it hit the spot.
Animal sex - check
Well endowed sexy man - check
Uses words like "you're mine" during loving - check
Taboo subject like being a step-brother - check

The short story is long enough to make me want Lucas and want to be Hana. It was a steamy, fast read for me. When the ending came up, I was swiping right saying "no, please, no".

Will I be reading the second book? Are you nuts? If you would hurry and let me finish this review, I am going back in.

This book is AHH-MA-ZING!!! I do love the occasional werewolf story! Come on, who doesn't love a little BEAST story! This one was HOT! When his inner beast came out to "play", there were so many different visuals going on in my head and this author didn't disappoint! The images I had couldn't compare to the animal that he was! HOT! SO, SO HOT! I also love how the story is complete but continues on! I do love a good series, however, I am always disappointed with a cliff-hanger! THANK GOD the author knows to not leave me hanging...WANTING MORE...HELL YEAH...but, not left mad! I was left extremely "satisfied" but, wanting more!!

Step-Brother Shifter - Kayar Chance

4.5 Stars

This was a great, hot, steamy short read. I wasn't sure what to expect at the start but soon I was soon sucked right into Hana's world.

I'm not a great fan of really short reads, but this one kept me going and I still connected with the characters really well, personally I would've liked it to be longer and I was a little disappointed when I reached the end.

Paranormal is so my thing, and this one really didn't disappoint ...I will definitely read the next book in this series.

Loved it

Erotica, suspense, romance, and thriller all wrapped into one. I will certainly be buying part two pronto. Thanks for the freebie, Kayar.
