A CLASSIC STORY FOR CHILDREN TO COLOR! Kids can bring their favorite tales and characters to life through the magic of coloring. This enchanting retelling of Peter Pan will stimulate children’s creativity as they put their own mark on Fabiana Attanasio’s illustrations and make every page unique. Young readers will also the enjoy adaptation of the original story, retold in fresh and modern language. Plus, there’s a removable poster to color in and hang on the wall—so budding artists can admire their beautiful work.
The illustrations are by Fabiana Attanasio and are whimsical and detailed and delicate and charming. Though this may be considered an 'adult' coloring book, children will love this as well. And while there are many fine details, there are places where smaller hands can find large spaces to color in. There are 75 pages to color and an amazing and very large poster at the end to pull out and color. If that doesn't satisfy the kid in you, I don't know what will! The pictures follow the story through to the Darling children flying off to Neverland, their adventures with Peter Pan and Captain Hook, and Tiger Lily and Tinkerbell. Really adorable illustrations. The paper is medium to thick. I used markers and had no bleed through. I did use an alcohol marker for a small section of coloring and had minimal bleed-through (to be expected from alcohol markers). The pages are not perforated, and all illustrations do go into the spine. So if you want to cut or tear out a page, you will lose that edge or middle (on double-page spread). I'd recommend this for fans of the story, parents who want to sit down and color alongside their kids, and for all of us forever young-at-hearts.
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. I haven't colored anything in yet, but I did look through it and it's absolutely gorgeous! The art style is really cute and I love this coloring book so much. I do find it a bit odd that coloring books are on Goodreads though..
Coloring books are all the rage right now. Peter Pan and Tinker Bell are two of my favorite childhood storytale characters. I knew that I would love this when I purchased it.
The inside cover opens up like a card so you can color all the different types and shapes of stars. That's a really neat idea!
The first couple of pages tells a summarized version of Peter Pan. It includes little pictures to color as well. Then there are the gorgeously illustrated pages to enjoy. This would be the perfect coloring book while you read the original L.M. Baurie's Peter Pan.
This is one of my favorite pages! The pages are full of detail. Illustrations are printed on both sides of the pages. Some are just one side of a particular page like the photo above. While some are double sided, taking up the whole page.
Illustrations include pictures of Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Wendy, The Lost Boys, Wendy and her brothers, and the Crocodile. They're all there fabulously drawn. You'll also find pictures of pirate ships, butterflies, and so forth.
The paper is quite thick with lots of big spaces that perfect for those who prefer markers. However, it's perfect for whatever tool you choose to use. I personally use colored pencils.
Did I mention that these pages are gorgeous?
It also includes a gorgeously illustrated full size poster to color.
Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys coloring. Whether you are a colorist who enjoys experimenting creatively or if you're like me and you just simply color. It's perfect for both kids and adults.
