Interesting analysis of a spiritual practice. This book highlights many of the issues of the Church (of the 70s) through the way speaking in tongues was (and sometimes is) viewed. Certainly a clinical viewpoint, which does not account fully for spiritual experience. For a fuller understanding of speaking in tongues, this book definitely needs to be paired with a Christian religious book of the same subject.
