Maryam: An Exemplary Muslim Woman

Allah made it possible for people to understand how to live the Qur'an's morality by giving examples from the Prophets' and other Muslims' lives. One of these sincere Muslims is Maryam, one of the two women noted for their exemplary "Allah has made an example for those who the wife of Pharaoh, when she 'My Lord, build a house in the Garden for me in Your presence, rescue me from Pharaoh and his deeds, and rescue me from this wrongdoing people.' And Maryam, the daughter of 'Imran, who guarded her chastity-We breathed Our Spirit into her. She confirmed the Words of her Lord and His Book, and was one of the obedient". (Surat 11-12) Allah introduces Maryam as having "the ideal Muslim woman's character." This character is completely different than the common character of women in today's unbelieving societies, where they usually share a common socially acceptable character handed down from their ancestors. According to the Qur'an, however, men and women have the same responsibilities and characters, for Allah refers to "an ideal Muslim character."

Adnan Oktar (born Ankara, 1956), also known by his pen name Harun Yahya, is a prominent advocate of Islamic creationism in the creation-evolution debate. He is considered to be the leading Muslim advocate of creationism. He subscribes to Old Earth creationism. He is against Zionism and Freemasonry and sees them as very interrelated movements, though he denounces anti-Semitism and terrorism, which he says is a product of Darwinism, not religious fanaticism.

Adnan Oktar founded the Science Research Foundation (SRF, or BAV in Turkish), whose objective is "to [establish]...peace, tranquility and love..."

Thank you Hlovate for introducing this ebook via her novel Versus. Indeed,it is an interesting piece from Harun Yahya, psychologically influenced me to look to myself as a woman per say. A WOMAN is not a subset to a Man. Both are the same.

Thanks to Hlovate that i found this book. A must read book for all women. Suka cara Harun Yahya susun buku dia. Tajuknya sendiri berkaitan Maryam. Maka, introduction tentang Maryam. Dengan berpandukan Surah Maryam, Harun Yahya menerangkan sifat-sifat Maryam sehingga dipilih oleh Allah untuk melahirkan Nabi Isa tanpa bapa. Bagaimana Maryam menghadapi situasi melahirkan Nabi Isa diterangkan di dalam Surah Maryam ayat 23-26. Dan dijelaskan oleh Harun Yahya dan ditambah dengan kajian saintifik berkenaan kurma dan air yang mengalir seperti di dalam Surah tersebut. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui tentang segala sesuatu. Kemudiannya, diteruskan dengan kelahiran Nabi Isa dan kelebihannya sehingga dia disalib. Diterangkan juga keadaan sebenar yang Nabi Isa tidak disalib sebaliknya dibawa ke syurga. Dan diterangkan yang Nabi Isa akan datang semula bersama Hazrat Mahdi. Selepas itu, mengikut tajuk, an exemplary muslim woman pula, Harun Yahya meneruskan penerangan berkenaan kedudukan wanita yang sebenarnya sama dengan lelaki. Dan mematahkan setiap dakwaan yang wanita adalah golongan yang lemah. Dijelaskan juga peranan wanita dalam perkahwinan. Kemudian berkenaan hak-hak wanita sekiranya diceraikan dan sebagainya. Dan, di bab terakhir, Harun Yahya menerangkan berkenaan contoh-contoh wanita lain yang patut ditauladani sifat mereka. Misalnya, ibu kepada Nabi Musa yang melepaskan Nabi Musa ketika kacau-bilau dan percaya pada janji allah akan memulangkan Nabi Musa kepadanya. Kisah Nabi Musa turut diceritakan dengan menerangkan ayat-ayat di dalam surah Al Qasas. Cerita Nabi Sulaiman dan Balqis juga diselitkan sebagai contoh bagaimana Balqis mengikut ajaran islam. Surah yang digunakan adalah Surah Al Naml. Dan, terakhir berkenaan Zulaikha dan Nabi Yusuf. Secara keseluruhan, buu ini bukan sahaja fokus kepada Maryam semata-mata, tapi juga wanita-wanita Muslim lain yang boleh ditauladani. Buku yang mengajar. Dan ada beberapa bahagian yang memang tertusuk juga dalam hati. Betapa banyak kena perbaiki diri untuk mencapai an exemplary muslim woman itu.

This book should have been titled The Ideal Muslim Women since it talks about Mariyam `alayhi salaam only in the beginning chapters. The rest of what follows is a comparison between the characteristics of non-Muslim women and Muslim women [though I found that unnecessary]. It could very well be communicated how an ideal Muslim women should be without adopting a condescending tone towards the non-Muslim women. Moreover the book also covers details about Prophet `Eesa [Jesus] `alayhi salaam while Harun Yahya has a separate book on him already.

Having said that it was a motivational book that would inspire every woman to be their best.
