Love Like Blood

LOVE LIKE BLOOD: Writer Julianna Gold is a strong woman and that's a good thing. Most people would crumble faced with her challenges. Disease, blindness, a bad marriage and a verbally abusive husband, it's a lot for one woman to take. Julianna is trying, but she could use just a little help. Vampire Raiden Vagner heard the cry of his soul mate at a time when she was in pain and in need. Now, three years later, he has to work against her, her disease, and maybe even someone else, just to keep her alive. She is the breath in his body, the blood in his veins. How long must his dark soul crave her light? RUBIES, SAPPHIRE & IVORY: After centuries of living, life began to lose value for vampire Niccolo Ascosi. Money had become merely paper, gems held as little value as pebbles. When Ivory Allison walked into his life, colors regained their sparkle, gold began to glow again for him. How did that happen? Would it have to end? For Ivory, every day was work, commitment, bills to pay. She savored the small riches she found along the way - a warm bath, a good meal. Impossible dreams of love were not for the likes of her. Who could love the overweight, financially strapped, too smart daughter of poor working people?

So, about me. I’ve been writing sensual romance—and some other stuff—for about five years now. What a busy five years it’s been, too. I’ve met a lot of great people along the way.

I’m blind and have been for more than a decade. I don’t go anywhere without my best buddy, Cosmo. He’s my guide dog. Once in a while, he turns up in my stories, incognito, of course. He and I travel when we can via planes and trains; we don’t really care for long car trips. Hmmm…what else? We have a couple of cats that keep us on our toes. They’re good for tons of aggravation and entertainment. I got them for Cosmo, but I don’t think he appreciates them as much as he should.

We love the beach, though we don’t get there as often as we’d like. I live on the Jersey Shore so the only excuse I have for not hitting the sand is that it’s cold and besides that, I can’t drive.

When I’m not writing, I teach blind people how to use adaptive technology so that they can surf the web. I meet plenty of interesting people that way and it keeps me from ever getting complacent. …Not to mention the inspiration for stories that I get. It’s a job that keeps on giving. Actually, I’m not sure it’s really a job; more like a thing I do.

Cosmo likes chunky peanut butter and rawhide bones. I drink way too much coffee—black and strong. I like red wine at night sometimes but he’s a teetotaler. He stays away from alcohol and chocolate these days.

And that’s all I can think of just now. I hope you enjoy the website. Mae’s done some great things with it. I’ll keep writing if you keep reading. Just bear with me if I slow down now and then. Thank you. I really appreciate you stopping by.
