I'm not certain why the other review rated this so low, so I cannot address any complaints. For me, this is a fantastic book for a couple of reasons. First, it's a "science" book for girls. I use quotes because some of the projects here lean more toward the crafty side, but it is the only downside of the book. It would have been 5 stars if the science had been explained behind the activities. Second, Bolte has some really clever projects here. I especially liked the Bubble Wrap Baubles, which are earrings made of bubble wrap and plastic bags - such a clever idea. You do not have to read the Sleepover Girls series to enjoy this book. I highly recommend it for preteens.
