Rivers explained for younger children. Beginning readers can easily master this book and listeners can comprehend the information. The format features a question, pictures, and four sentences to answer the stated question. Since the storytime children are non-readers I selected the questions covering What does a river look like?, How long is a river?, What lives in the river?, and How do people use rivers? The other questions asked about a river's depth, width, location, and land changes.
