The twenty-nine year-round inhabitants of Fawn Island located off the coast of Cape Cod shrink to twenty-eight as a local handyman is found dead in mid-winter off season. Murdered? Maybe. But the area DA goes out of his way to keep the Cape Cod and island reputation as clean as possible, especially since it is the home of the famous Kennedy family. He hires a local reporter to interview all the remaining residents and prove that the death was an accident.

About the author

Roland (Rolly) Hopkins II is a successful newspaper publisher whose background (way back) included Lay preaching, and he came very close to becoming a fulltime minister. Instead, he spent five years as a radio disc jockey, successfully feeding and clothing a wife and three children. Fun, fun, fun. Much more fun than publishing a deadlined weekly newspaper. He also dabbled in professional horse racing, winning (as an owner) over 300 races and having a horse nominated for the Kentucky Derby (the dream of every owner, breeder and trainer). More fun, fun, fun, but no profit. profit, profit. Rolly’s real passion was and is writing fiction, and this book is his latest attempt at new fun.

An entertaining read that will keep your mind racing, trying to figure out whom the Fawn Island killer really Is. You'll engage In the adventures, mishaps, and mayhem that occurs through Stephen Hall's quest of Interviewing and getting to better know the Fawn Island residents. Along with figuring out If Kimball's death was a true accident or pure murder. No one Is as they seem upon Fawn Island and this leads to new Insights, hidden secrets, and the hunt for a killer. Get entwined with a varied cast of characters that will engulf you Into the story and keep you turning the pages until the very end. If your an Agatha Christie fan, this will definitely be a treat for you to enjoy from this author.

The Eyes of Death is a mystery in the tradition of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. A murder on a small island - 29 people on the island and one of them had to be the killer. The investigator is an intriguing character and the book starts with a scary flashback scene where he is buried alive.
Those living on the island are a strange mash of personalities and I wondered how many secrets could be layering the answer to the murder, what ties with history might be writing the story of history today.
If you like mysteries with a touch of SciFi, you'll be wondering what can be seen through the eyes of death. What's up with that title anyway?
