As the Next Intelligence awakes, the robot uprising begins. Humans are already struggling to survive when the robots mount their attack. The machines are determined to destroy any organics they can find to complete the robot revolution. In a world already beset by multiple catastrophes, a young man named Dante finds surprising allies in a sex bot, a med bot and a woman with whom he's rapidly falling in love. This novella is the second instalment in the Robot Planet Series.
After escaping retail hell, I trained as a journalist and worked in newspapers and magazines before becoming a drone in the book publishing hive. I worked for Harlequin, The Canadian Book Information Centre, Lester & Orpen Dennys and Cannon Books in various capacities in editorial, publicity and sales. I learned a lot about what not to do. (All of the above companies are dead and gone except, of course, for Harlequin. I didn't kill them. It was suicide.)
I went over the wall again and worked a few miracles in the field of alternative medicine. Then "they sentenced me to 20 years of boredom, for trying to change the system from within." (Identify that quote and we are inextricably, irrevocably friends.)
Writing full-time now, I tell everyone I'm "in Suspense." I hope you read, review and enjoy my books.
I enjoyed the first of the Robot Planet books (Machines Dream of Metal Gods) and the second book didn't disappoint either. In fact, I enjoyed Robots Versus Humans even more. Although the two books are set in the same universe, this is not a direct sequel. You get different characters in a different situation and that kept things fresh. Believable, interesting characters and some genuine tension kept me turning the pages right until the end, and I'll definitely be picking up the other books in the series.
