Barry Chamish lays out the facts of the Yitzhak Rabin assassination and proves without a doubt that it was the result of a conspiracy. Chamish decides to not speculate on “who ordered the hit” and instead only focus on the facts of the case. while it’s apparent internal elements amongst Israeli intelligence were involved, Chamish decides to only focus on what he can prove

the whole Rabin assassination smells like an intelligence operation and my takeaway is that i need more understanding of Israel’s political climate in the 90s to further supplement this book

This is one truth-telling Israeli journalist (who had to leave Israel because he told the truth about the murder of former Israeli PM Yitzhak Rabin, who tried to keep the peace process going with the Palestinians and PLO leader Yassir Arafat in the early 90s)! The accused killer, Yeshiva student Yagil Amir, was just a patsy in the plot. Though Amir did shoot at Rabin and injure him, his shot or shots did nor kill Rabin, who was proven to have been killed by a shot to his front, not back, as Amir had done. As with the JFK assassination and the various cover-ups after Jack Ruby killed patsy Lee Harvey Oswald, the Israeli government began an immediate cover-up of the assassination of Rabin. If you are interested in the foibles of Israeli politics, this is a must read.

Israel's "JFK" where people want to believe their president is murdered by an elaborate conspiracy of power instead of a lone nut. However the supporters of the Rabin-conspiracy are more likely to be rightwingers who consider the official version as slandering rightwing Israeli forces.

Technically the theory can make sense. Amir should with blanks while Rabin was murdered during the transport to the hospital or in the hospital itself. The question remains why would they give Amir blanks. He might as well could have killed him for real with a backup plan to kill him off later.
