Really well spelled out details
The information in the excel formulas that automate tasks was so simple to follow. With graphics and examples that brought it clearly to mind. Excel has a reputation for being a great tool if you can figure out how to work it. This book provides the knowledge to do just that. Erik kopp included examples of his own life to drive home how it can be used for more than just counting and mathematics. This book is a wonderful easy to introduce yourself to the to me as bing program of Excel. I can highly recommend this five star book.

“Excel Formulas That Automate Tasks You No Longer Have Time For (How To Get The Most Done In The Least Time Book 1)” would be a fantastic introduction to time-saving Microsoft Excel formulas and macros if not for the fact that it is based off of a version of Microsoft Excel that is nearly a decade old. Despite the title being somewhat unwieldy to communicate, it is accurate, at least in fundamentals. The basic ideas put forward in the book are, indeed, time saving, if not for the changes that have been introduced to Microsoft Excel in recent years. Because of changes in updated versions, the screenshot guides are no longer accurate; new users approaching Excel will be forced to improvise certain steps or follow other guides in order to implement the formulas and macros put forward in “Excel Formulas.”
With all that said, readers using older versions of Excel, or readers who are only looking for the frameworks of formulas, may find this book helpful. The only unfortunate part of that qualifying statement is that the version of Microsoft Windows that works best with Office 2007 is no longer actively supported by Microsoft, meaning users following this guide will most likely be operating on a very vulnerable platform.
All in all, the writing style of the book is somewhat repetitive, but readable. With updated information, I can imagine this book being considerably helpful to accountants, admin assistants, and data entry staff who are unfamiliar with the tools Microsoft Excel has to offer.

What an EXCELent tool. Sorry I had too.
I am an accountant and was speaking with a mentee just starting out in the field. I asked them if they had ever used excel and surprisingly they had not. Only used it a few times in their beginners accounting classes. This shocked me! Excel is so vital to not only accounting but MANY business and personal uses. It is just too great of a program to not know how to use.
I spoke with a coworker and they suggested this book, so glad I went with their recommendation! My mentee found the book super useful and started to actually understand a bit more about accounting. There are plenty of real world examples and really shows the power of excel. Excel can be so overwhelming to users experiencing it for the first time. These breakdown books can make you feel like a computer wiz and simplify a super product.

Excel Formulas that Automate Tasks You No Longer have Time For by Erik Kopp is a great book. Both educational and a time saver. In my profession, I deal with a lot of data and Excel is one of the best ways to deal with them. However, my knowledge of using it was limited. But after reading this easy to understand guide book, I was learning fast. A time and money saver. Erik Kopp definitely knows his way around Excel. For those in businesses, college, or just starting out as entrepreneurs, this is a must read for you. I enjoyed following along. The pages are concise, detailed, and engaging. I highly recommend it to all.

Erik Kopp has some of the best resources for entrepreneurs like myself, and this book is very helpful. I am not a computer geek myself, and I hate having to google every little thing I want to do. Here, though, the author has made the lessons very easy with images for step-by-step guidance. I still haven’t memorized all the excel commands, and it seems you can’t avoid them, but having the book on my tablet will be good enough. Perhaps I should get the paperback version…
