Normally I'm not a fan of duel narrators, but these two are an exception to that. Either one could have done the book on their own. Excellent accents and voice distinction between the characters.
Heavy on the romance, light on the mystery/intrigue.

Better than I expected
I was so glad that King got a story. Everything I learned about him in other books was turned up on its head. I loved it. I hope the next story is just as good. Enjoyed on kindle and audible

Super sexy and dangerous
Two people living two lives each. Both determined to keep their secrets concealed until life throws them into each other's paths. Reagan is trying to prove herself as a new agent in the FBI with a tortured and hidden past she doesn't share with anyone. Then there's King Giles our sexy doctor from Shadelade who also has secrets of his own. When two dead women are murdered and all evidence is pointed to the small town doctor Reagan and her partner are sent to investigate. She becomes intrigue by the handsome doctor and he with her. Soon they find themselves thrown into a seduction neither saw coming. Determined to get answers this dynamic duo set out to uncover the truth about the death of Kings friends and try to stop terrorists determined to kill millions of westerners. This story was super intense. It's full of emotion and action packed moments that me or me on the edge of my seat. It's about overcoming your past and learning to live and trust again. Definitely a great addition to this series.

Wow, I’ve been away from this series for a while, but I’m glad I’m back! I almost forgot how fun it is. Sex, Lies, and Lace is book four in a series that gets better with every book. The action starts on page one and doesn’t let up one bit until the very end. There’s steam, but it’s not extremely graphic. There are plenty of lies going around and the advice, “trust no one,” is not to be taken lightly. The lace? Oh, yeah, there’s lace from the past, present, and eventually the future.
King leads a double life that is likely to get him killed. It’s hard to know if he’s one of the good guys or the bad guys. Reagan is suspicious of King from the moment she lays eyes on him. She’s a newly minted FBI agent and he’s involved in her first case. There’s nothing normal about this case, or the next one, or the next one…and they all involve King. In her gut, she knows that he’s innocent, but her head is telling a different story. Which one is right? It could mean life or death for her so she’d better figure it out quickly.
Fast-paced and intriguing, this may be my favorite so far.

Dr King!
Handsome Dr King Giles has a secret life. This life ends up tangled with Reagan, an agent that has some connection to the Russian mafia. I liked this story with handsome Dr King. He is an interesting character that has a little kink in his love life. It's actually kind of interesting this Tantra style. I didn't like the fact that Reagan was violently abused at an early age. Rape is such a horrific topic and even though the author does a good job writing about it, the emotional trauma still hangs throughout the book. I would have liked the book more without that part included.

A great installment to the Sex and Lies series.
Sex, Lies and Lace follows the good doctor King Giles, and newly minted FBI agent Reagan Weatherford..
I was happy to read Kings story, after being introduced to whom in the previous stories. While we knew he's a dedicated Physician, and rather enjoys the company of women, that is only scratching the surface of who he really is. Kings life is full of intrigue, and he's finAlly met the woman who can go toe to toe with him.

Exploding in More ways than one
Every character we meet in the first book of this series has a hidden life it seems. King Gilles is one I certainly didn't expect to find living two lives. There are a few twists in the plot but not as intriguing as some of the other plots in the series. Entertaining and explosive action keeps the story interesting.

Just when I thought Kris Calvert's series couldn't get any better I read this one. Honestly could not put it down!!!! The twists and turns, the levels of this story are brilliantly written. Just when you think you know what's about to happen there's a small twist or turn, just enough to keep you hooked.

Another hit from Kris Calvert. I love this series of books. Highly recommend. Start at the beginning with Sex, Lies, & Sweet Tea and continue through the series. I just finished Sex, Lies, & Bourbon and can't wait for the next installment! Highly recommend.
