My grandfather was a member of the 100th bomb group. This book has been on my mother's shelf for years. I knew my grandfather's story, but it wasn't until watching "Masters of the Air" that I was inspired to read the book to learn more about Thorpe Abbotts airbase and the bigger picture of which my grandfather (a POW at Stalag I) was a part.
