This book was surprisingly captivating. No matter how much I thought that the narrator couldn't possibly get any crazier he does. Each chapter revolves around a specific thought or belief or that's what the author would like you to believe. All of the stories have a similar thread - sex! It’s about where he's getting it, how he's getting, who he's getting it from, and why he's hoping to make a fool of some woman that he's going out with. Oddly enough I wanted to keep reading to find out what the next debacle he would try and rationalize away!! There were some good points made about double standards but they were buried under all the male posturing and one-upmanship going on around it.
If you want an insight into the male mind this is a great book. If not it’s just a fun read. Don't expect any major revelations!
This book is exactly as the title says, the author’s random thoughts, mostly of the erotic nature. It actually gives insight into his type of personality, mainly the way a man perceives relationships, or the interaction of male vs. female. I thought most was straightforward. Men view women sexually, first and foremost. It was evident to me that the author was more than a bit jaded. I did appreciate the few times that he agreed with the female point of view.
Although this book could be considered erogenous reading, I wasn’t offended. In fact, I enjoyed the humorous element of most of it. But I understand it’s not for everyone and could be offensive to some, women especially. If you take it as it is, just someone’s rambling, it could be considered entertaining.
This book was a collection of mostly misognynstic essays. I really cant believe the episodes that happened the way they were reported in this book. The essays themselves were very confusing. A story would start about one topic, then they would go off on random tangents, usually about porn. I was not impressed.
