This is only the start for me. The book is insightful, current, directive, and instructional. You get the knowledge of the game in all aspects from the best coaches. As a beginner coach it helped tremendously in understanding the full reach of the role in the game, institution you're involved with, and the lives of others. I would agree with the inference by the title that it is the soccer coaching bible.

This is what these sorts of books are -- a mix of topics and quality and usefulness. It's a handy resource that has aged well, but it being all things to all coaches, it means you might want to pick and choose your own sections to read (I don't have much usefulness or opinion on the essays specific to college coaching, for example).

As something I stumbled over, it's not a bad find.
