Urban Books’ popular Girls From da Hood series continues its gritty street drama in this eleventh installment, featuring urban fiction superstar Nikki Turner, and newcomer Katt. Tia, Ton’ya, and Tammi are not only making moves in the game, but they’re doing it in the bedroom too—and anywhere they need to get what they want. Tia is quick with her razor-sharp mouth, and she carries an equally sharp razor to slice a throat if need be. Ton’ya is loyal to a fault, but will body a nigga if they trip. Tammi is the brains of the operation. They have collected more bodies than a Manhattan hooker working the lower East Side. What happens when the heart gets in the way of making money? Best friends Pedro and Rico met Shane at a concert in Brooklyn, and they soon became fast friends, making money and moving major weight to solidify their place in the game. Pedro is the pretty boy who thinks his dick can get him anywhere and anyone. Rico, the strategist, believes that he is the smartest man in any room. Shane, the outspoken one, is the deal maker and breaker. They have but one to become the best in the game. All hell breaks loose when brains, brawn, and dick collide with tantalizing titties and tongue. What will happen when everyone wants what they want and it interferes with their crew’s best interests?
After Nikki Turner read The Coldest Winter Ever by Sistah Souljah she was dismayed that there weren't other books like it. "I wanted to write the kinds of books I wanted to read," said the bestselling author, whose 2002 debut novel, A Hustler's Wife, would go on to sell more than a few 100,000 copies. While Nikki Turner's first two novels were published by a small publishing house in the Midwest, in 2004 she signed a 2-book deal with One World, an imprint of Ballantine Books, which is part of The Random House Publishing Group. After publishing the first book under that deal, The Glamorous Life in 2005 as well as a short story collection edited by Nikki, Street Chronicles: Tales from da Hood, One World quickly signed Nikki up for three more Nikki Turner Original novels and negotiated a deal with her for her own book line, Nikki Turner Presents. "I want to give new authors the same kind of opportunity I was given," said Nikki. "I want to produce authors who will be household names."
TRUST ISSUES Kima didn't deserve what she went through with Kori love will make you blind and dumb TWISTED TRIANGLES Everything isn't always what it seem to be Mike B learnsd the hard way should have been more to the story like pieces were missing BABY MOMMA'S CLUB Tremaine was a dog and they all knew it but they was still sleeping with him and making babies so they deserved everything they got because Keysha,Monica,Bree and Porsha knew what he was about THE SIDE-HO CLUB Miah was hurt by ex Maxwell and she took it out on every man all she wanted was sex and money love being the side chick she wanted the women to see the men for they are dogs because she was a fool at one time
This is not even the actual book. I have this book same page cover and everything, but the stories are wayyyy different. 1st story: "trust issues" nikki turner - about a girl name Kima 2nd story: "twisted triangles" katt - about two guys named mike-b and jeff 3rd story: "baby mamas club" teeny - about three baby mamas keysha, monica & bree 4th story: "the side hoes club" teeny - about a girl named miah jefferson
I don't know why it's saying something different on here and something different on the one I got from my library. But it's a good book overall.
Wtf did I just read the only decent story was the first one. If they can't get the girls from da hood series in order and make it a good read like they use to then retire it
