In this steamy step-brother read we visit Paris where Jagger and Jessa are forced together for their younger sister’s birthday festivities. There’s definitely bad blood between Jagger and Jessa but it’s unclear what exactly happened between them to turn their previously close relationship sour.
Jessa was my little stepsister but she had been my first real crush.

Throughout their Paris trip it’s clear that Jagger is determined to win Jessa over. He is definitely successful, his captivating singing and his heroics help him alter Jessa’s perception of him.
When their trip to Paris ends Jagger and Jessa seem determined not to let their separate lives keep them apart but Jagger’s notoriety and the distance between them prove to cause more problems than either of them anticipated. I felt like Jessa took some of their smaller problems and totally blew them out of proportion. It would stand to reason that the playboy rocker in the couple would have less of a level head but that was not the case in this story.
I was only twent one, I was the lead singer in an up and coming rock band, and I preferred to spend my Saturday nights sipping expensive scotch in my hotel room re-reading old texts from Jessa.

Jagger was fairly grounded once he decided what he wanted but Jessa was immature and was consistently terrible with communicating. Jagger was leagues more mature than Jessa and she just got worse the farther apart they were and the longer they were apart. I was glad Jessa had a friend living with her to give her a reality check, though Jessa hardly listened. Her friend was crucial, and without her Jessa would have found herself in a terrible situation.

Jagger and Jessa have quite a few hurtles to traverse and Jagger did wonderfully with them, and then had to help a fumbling Jessa. I didn’t care for Jessa much but I did like Jagger and he liked her so that helped to soften my view of her a bit. The ending was so sweet, and I was glad we got a glimpse of them further on in life.

Oi, the angst, the drama, the high emotions, the sexual tension… all the reasons I love stepbrother romances so much!

Jessa and Jagger have been stepsiblings for a long time and even developed a strong friendship through the years. That all happened on the night of Jessa’s sixteenth birthday party and their friendship turned to hate. They’ve spent the years since avoiding each other but when Jessa and Jagger have to chaperone their little sister on a birthday trip to Paris, they are forced together and forced to confront their feelings for each other.

At first I had a problem connecting to Jessa, who felt a little overly dramatic and a bit like a spoiled child. Her reasoning didn’t always make sense to me but as she let go of her anger she became a really enjoyable character. Jagger was amazing in his bad boy turned mushy puppy and some of the thing that came out of his mouth left me weak at the knees (I do so love a direct man with a filthy mouth).

During the last half of the book there was something that had me feeling a little iffy but as I continued reading I gained respect for the author in how she handled it. I also really loved the journey the two characters took, and I appreciated that the author didn’t take the easy way out in any situation.

I love messy characters. I love when characters are flawed and make horrible decisions. Overall this was a fast-paced book that covers a long journey with lots of twists and turns. If you’re stepbrother romance fan, I’d recommend this one.

Tristan "Jagger" Black will be a future rock star, he's got the name, he's got the women and he's got the internet success. Jessa James is college student, she has the ambition and wants a career that will take her to other countries to work. They are moving forward with their lives full steam ahead until one trip to Paris changes everything.

The story is fill with erupting emotions, unforgotten feelings, angst and very zealous fans. Jagger and Jessa are brought together to chaperon their little sisters birthday trip to Paris. Elena is their only real family connection. Jagger and Jessa are step-siblings with no blood relations. The authors brings up the fact several times reminding us that they never felt like siblings. The information distracted me from the story. I found myself yessing the author to death. Other than that overly provided information the story is sweet. Jagger at the ripe old age of twenty-one does a lot of growing up. He knows what he wants and won't let it go without a fight or better said, a punch. Jessa unselfishly doesn't want to ruin anyone's future. It's perfect time for this story. Christmas is a time of unselfish acts and forgiveness. This story will touch your heart.

Oh man! Olivia Hawthorne definitely didn't disappoint! I LOVED Jagger and Jessa's story!! It's one of my favorites by her. Step siblings Jessa and Jagger have been crushing on each other for years. Jessa hid hers through distance and anger, while Jagger suppressed his best he could. After years of crushing on each these two finally give in while they're in the city of love. It so romantic watching them fall in love in my favorite place of all: Paris!! I love stories like this where the bad boy reforms for the girl he loves.

It has many redeeming qualities. The characters were likable at best neutral at worst. The writing was much better than expected. I developed an interest that withstood to the end. The plot was nice, somewhat original or had its own unique flair. The writing was good, and the pretense wasn’t half bad, the romance was simmering with few exceptions. The male/female lead showed hints of abuse both verbal and/or physical or signs of spot-on or forced chemistry. It was a tiny bit predictable. Overall, liked it enough, entertaining.

I confess. I am a fan of stepbrother romances. And when the storyline combines enemies to lovers, like this book, then I know that I am going to want to check it out.

Jessa can't believe that she has been roped into escorting her little sister and her friends on a trip through Paris. If that is not enough to send her spinning, the fact that her stepbrother Jagger is the other chaperone might just. The two could not be more opposite of they tried. One perfect, one a bad boy rockstar.

The problem? Both are undeniably attracted to each other. Now they have to share a room and fight against what their bodies know - they want each other. Can they resist the temptation in the city of love or will they give into and discover how good they can be together.

For the most part, I really enjoyed the book, writing and storyline. But there were certain parts of this book that didn't work for me. I can't give specifics as it would spoil a large portion of the book.

Jessa was the character that presented me with most of my issues about this book. I found it really hard to connect with her and the decisions and actions that she took a lot of the time. Mind you, these issues wouldn't bother a great deal of readers so it is just my experience of this book. To made me dislike her and so affected my reading experience of wanting things to work out between this couple.

Don't get me wrong, Jagger also suffered the same affliction throughout the book but he seemed more genuine to me with his affection, regret and attitude. I loved the perfect blend of cocky a-hole and sweet and tender.

The author did an awesome job of building up the sexual tension between these two, along with the angst of fighting their feelings. And when these two came together, it was explosive and sizzling hot.

I loved the surprises and twists of this story.

As my issues with this book were chatacter related and nothing to do with this authors writing, I would definitely check out this author again. Stepbrother romance fans will enjoy this steamy, easy & light angst read.

3.5 stars....
Baby Caldwell has been hooked! Jagger "Hitmaker" Caldwell has gotten his name from illegal fighting. He doesn't hold back, and has the memories from his horrible childhood to fuel the fire. His momma preached to her boys to be a "Legacy", and the reminder if tattooed on his arm to remind him daily. His father beat him, his brothers, and his momma...but he's determined to be better than that. He trains hard, fights hard, and loves hard. His living in a run-down apartment building where he can hear his landlord neighbor, beat whoever is in that room daily. He's had enough, makes his way in to the apartment, and finds this young girl, clearly his landlord's own daughter, in the corner beaten. He can't get the vision or the girl out of his mind, and does what he can when she wont walk away.
Tatiana Rand is a Russian immigrant, who lost her mother, and has a horrible father. She doesn't know any other way of life, and doesn't even know if she's here legally since I he constantly hangs that over her head. After months of this mysterious stranger leaving her gifts, she finally gets the nerve to leave her father. She runs to the one man that has shown her kindness, and then finds him beating someone in the ring.
Tatiana and Jagger have similar backgrounds, but also so far from each other. "Totty" is barely 18, and in fact, Jagger waits for the day for her to become legal. Once she moves beyond what Jagger does/is, he helps her get stronger all the while they fight this attraction for one another...until she's 18 of course!
Totty becomes stronger mentally/physically, she and Jagger are heating up the sheets, and Jagger deals with a loss too close to home.
In general, I enjoyed the story. I'm not sure how I feel about the age of Tatiana...she was very young. I had a difficult time visualizing what she and Jagger looked like. There were parts I really enjoyed..others really dragged. The whole "Little One" nickname was starting to drive me nuts!
Hope we hear more about Kid!

For once, I've found a stepbrother romance where the woman is angry at the man and can't stand him whereas he's trying to win her over and is really puzzled as to why she's repulsed by him. Not for long though ;o)

It was refreshing and made me like him more. He needed that extra push as he's such a womanizer with his rock and roll lifestyle. That's always a negative point in my book. I quite enjoyed their family-arranged trip to Paris to chaperone their younger sister and her friends on a birthday celebration. The double POV really helped the story along, especially to heighten the effect of certain sexy and strong developments between Jagger and Jessa.

Half way through the story, there is a couple of plot twists that give it a new spin. Both Jagger and Jessa make terrible, crazy decisions. To me, they didn't make any sense but I admit they meant real entertainment to read and enjoy.

There's anger, drama, surprises, jealousy, misunderstandings... The double POV helps clarify everything they're feeling. And I think that Jagger, despite his womanizing ways at the beginning, proves to have the patience of a saint. I liked him ;o)

There were a few minor points that I'd have amended. For instance, when the author keeps repeating "laughter bubbled from her lungs". That's a weird image. Why not mouth or throat? Or when she uses the word stomach when it seems that belly is a better option. Regarding the plot, Jagger takes a decision that seemed utterly irresponsible and unforgivable. But love called :-D

Besides that, I happily enjoyed their crazy love story and the original setting of the first part, the steamy scenes and the devoted attitude of Jagger's. After all, it's not every day that you happen across a novel where a woman's future takes precedence over a rock star's career. Very romantic and sweet, especially that bonus chapter that completes Jagger and Jessa's journey.

I really enjoyed this book. In this story, we meet Jessa who is a college student. She is chaperoning her 14 yr old half-sister ( her mom ‘s and step dad’s daughter) and some of her friends in Paris. Well, she is chaperoning along with her step brother Jagger—they have a history together and Jessa can’t stand to be around Jagger anymore. Their past is painful and the betrayal he did to her, well, this trip is going to be rough but for her half-sister, she will do it.
Jagger has always had feelings for Jessa but really isn’t sure what turned her from red hot to red not in in his life years before but he figures this trip will get her somehow back in his life somehow. Now this Jagger in the time they have been apart has slept with multiple women and Jessa knows about it and that makes her even colder to him when they have to be near each other for family events. The time in Paris was AMAAZING and the twists on how they finally got together was wonderful but the turns on how they ended up apart had me crying out NOOO! But I loved how the MC finally did end up back together and the play on *Paris* did come into play in the end for the Jessa and Jagger. This is a wonderful 2nd chance love story and I TRULY enjoyed reading the bonus chapter. I really enjoy getting to see how their lives turned out. This is something ,as a reader, I crave. Yes, Jagger was a jerk in the beginning but…trust me, read this story and watch the evolution. Jessa is a cool one—there is some issues in her past but as we watch, she turns out to be a sassy woman. The pain her in past makes her doubt the love they have but the ending is well worth everything this story is. I highly recommend this story.

This is my first book by Olivia Hawthorne and upon my amazon search of other books by her, I see she's a huge name in stepbrother romance. While I personally don't find stepbrother romance taboo, this one could be considered close since they actually did live together as a family for many of the formative years.
I loved Jagger. I mean who wouldn't love this?
~Jagger the man who broke my heart. At six foot 4, with a body of long, lean muscle and hair as black as midnight without the moon and stars...
I think he got the crap end of the deal...his womanizing ways were really just all show for the rock star lifestyle. Once he was really sure he really liked, like LIKED LIKED Jessa he quit with the womanizing bullshit. I mean he had a hot Parisian chick ready to go down and he zips up. That is love! Really, listen to this
~If I were being honest, it wasn't a fuck. With Jessa it was so much more than that. With Jessa, it was dangerous and exciting, a love that could destroy me or grow bigger than our separate lives. A love that could consume us, but reward us with something truer than anything we'd ever imagined... Sigh...
I didn't however really love Jessa. I thought she was kind of bipolar with no rhyme nor reason. She flew off the handle as the smallest of things...I realize there was a reason...but I just didn't feel it with her...maybe it was simple jealousy on my part. LOL
The story was GREAT! and I'll definitely be reading more from Olivia Hawthorne..that's for sure...so if you're already her fan and wanna comment with your favorite of her books, I'll gladly take suggestions as to my next read!

This is my first time reading a book written by Olivia Hawthorne and I really enjoyed it. Originally released as a three-part series, now the complete story can be found in one book.

I immediately knew I wanted to read this series because (1) the cover is freaking HOT, and yes I tend to judge books by their covers despite being taught otherwise, (2) it's about a sexy bad boy rocker, and we all know my unhealthy obsession with those, and (3) because it is a complete story, I don't have to suffer through a cliffhanger ending which is always a good thing for an impatient soul like mine.

It's also considered a taboo romance book, which honestly in my opinion, makes it sound worse than it is. The two main characters, Jagger and Jessa, happen to be step-siblings.

From the beginning of the story there is always something to keep you entertained. The "will they /won't they" aspect will keep you guessing and the sexual tension between the two is sizzling. You feel the struggles that these characters go through and will definitely be rooting for them in the end.

It's a wonderful story that I think you'll enjoy. And if definitely makes me want to check out her other work.

Jagger is a rock star with a sweet and sexy side!

Jagger is a wealthy rock star, who is used to women chasing after him. Jessa, JJ, is a straight A college student. Jagger and Jessa are step siblings. They have struggled to get along, since they were teenagers. Jagger and Jessa are tasked with supervising / chaperoning their little sister and her friends on a trip to Paris. Jessa is not happy about having to be around Jagger. Many memories are made, both good and bad, while they were in Paris. Once Jagger and Jessa get home, there are misunderstandings and people standing in the way of their happiness.

Jagger is a stepbrother romance told in dual POV (rotating each chapter). This book has a different storyline or plot than others out there, in my opinion. I love Jagger and how he fights for his relationship with Jessa. I appreciate that the author gave us a view into the whole relationship of Jagger and Jessa (past, present and future). I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves a rock star with a sweet, kind heart.

If you enjoy taboo romances like I do, this was a fantastic read! I love forbidden romances and this one was well written, a lot of the problems Jessa and Jagger have could have been settled a lot easier with some open communication but I guess that doesn't help in the angst factor!!!

Jessa and Jagger are step siblings who started out as great friends but over the years Jessa came to despise Jagger. They share a little sister named Elena. For Elena's birthday they both get stuck chaperoning her and her friends for a week in Paris. Jessa and Jagger haven't seen much of each other in years but when they meet up in the city of love sparks begin to fly... Can they make it work when they get home?? Between Jagger's rising rockstardom and Jessa's life changing surprise, mixed with a domineering father and a money hungry mother the odds are slim to none.

This was a great book and I'd recommend it to everyone!! Great job Olivia!!!

"It was funny how love just happened and made everything right in your world."

Jagger was enjoyable stepbrother romance story by Author Olivia Hawthorne. Jessa and Jagger were two distinctly different individuals, coming into each other's lives due to circumstances that were out of their control. But some things are just meant to be, and that was this couple. After years of battling their feelings for each other on the only war they knew how a family outing pushed them together, and sparks of all kinds began to fly. The story line was original and gave Jessa and Jagger their own unique voice. The added secondary characters brought in more good feels and depth. A good addition to the stepbrother sub-genre.

This has to be one of the best stepbrother romance books I have read. The interaction between Jessa and Jagger feels more natural and real as a romance than any other story. Jessa and Jagger were once good friends and possibly more but when their parents married everything changed. Jagger is a rock star with the fame and groupies to prove it but no one has ever replaced Jessa in his heart. Jessa has devoted herself to her studies but her mind still wanders to Jagger. When asked to accompany their sister on a birthday trip with her friends, Jessa and Jagger are thrown together and must finally confront these feelings that they both deny having. This romance was fun and sexy to read and was overall just a great story.

This was a good and unusual stepbrother book. The reason I say unusual is cause I've never read one where the step brother or sister share a sibling between the parents. It wasn't bad. I thought the story was cute. It has a lot of push and pull to it. I liked the turn of events and how it actually pushed them together. and even though the parents were mad at first they got over it and pull, together to become a stronger family unit. Love baby Paris. I wonder if the story continued if there was going to be a baby Rome too

There are a ton of step-brother romances out there, so why should you read this one? Truth--I'm not quite sure. This was has all the markings of a formula romance--bad boy/good girl, rich tatted rocker....you know the drill. But somehow it came across fresh and interesting. I loved how he turned from a man whore to committed--and totally stuck to it. I really like this booked and I think most romance readers will too!

The funny part was went they went on there tour and the guide was flirting with Jessa and Jagger didn't like is own medicine right back. I really enjoyed reading this book. OMG another great Olivia Hawthorne book and this time I got a chance to ARC it!
The first setting of the book was in Paris and although I never bin there before it felt like I really was there with Jagger and Jesse. The whole story felt so real and it really sucked me in! Interesting read

This author has surprised me yet again with another good book with complicated characters and an interesting story line. The story develops at a great pace, despite not liking one of the guys in this book but it almost seems we are destined not to like him. Read the book and you'll totally understand. It really is a light hearted and good read.
