***

The "Youngtimer: Adventures In Time" Series is a fun, action packed time travel adventure series with lots of twists and turns, about two best friends who are very different from each other on the surface. Carly is a brain, sure of herself, fiercely protective of those she cares about, brave and adventurous. Patti is funny, sassy, loyal, self-critical, not-so- brave, and not-so-adventurous. The two of them just fit.

Ft. Meyers, FL. The old cliché PPL say is opposites attract. Carly Sue Paulson (12, 15, aka Kyley Anderson) is a Brainiac, confident, over-protective, & brave/adventorus.
Her BFF Patti Fox on the other hand is funny, sassy, loyal, self-critical, but defiantly not brave/adventorus.
Brad Paulson is Carly’s big brother & he plays H.S. football.
They live with their dad & mom.

The family was concerned about Grandpa Charles he had a serious heart condition.
He later passed away & left Carly a time machine his friend who work for NASA built.
Grandma Meredith was now a widow.

Back to 1903, Kitty Hawk, N.C. Carly met Orville Wright.
Fast forward to Ft. Meyers, FL. & he did not know it was 2015, or what a sell phone was.
Carly decided to take Orv to the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum (Washington, DC).
It was summer time & Carly also took Patti on several time travels.

What does she help Brad with?

What would Carly & Patti help Lulu (classmate) with?

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great movie, animated cartoon or a mini TV series. Well I really hate to say this but it was just not as exciting & adventurous as I thought it was going to be. It would be nice to see hand drawn or some tyoe of pictures. Kids love visual. I’m sure some MS age kids will like it. That said I will have to rate it at 3/5 stars.

This is the second book in this series and it is just as enjoyable as the first. Carly, along with her best friend Patti set off on several adventures. This time things don’t go quite as smoothly. This series is really enjoyable. Adults and kids can both relate to the characters. They and their time travel are very believable. This is a series my students will definitely love to read. The adventure of time travel will be enough for some people. The idea of traveling back through time to witness parts of history make this even more worth the read. If you haven’t checked out this series yet then you had better get started, to see what you have been missing.
I received a copy to facilitate my review. The opinions expressed here are my own.

I think this would be a fun book for kids and also a quick fun read for adults as Carly receives a time machine from her grandpa when he passes away. Although Carly was supposed to wait until she was eighteen to travel through time, hr friend Patti convinces her to start now and that is where the adventure begins. I found the story engaging and the author did a good job capturing what teenagers might do if this amazing adventure landed in their life.
