James Wallace grew up on a farm, the oldest of four children, roamed the countryside on dirt bikes with his brother, hunted and fished, scuba dived in muddy lakes, dug tunnels in sandy ground and wheat fields, played and canoed in snake-invested rivers, explored uncharted caves in the days of carbide lamps, survived it all somehow, went to law school, did well, joined a big law firm (twice), left the big law firm (twice), married a beautiful Texas girl, with whom he raised five wonderful children (still raising the 5th) and embarked on a series of family adventures and misadventures, which are still continuing to this day.

James and his family love everything Southern, especially his family's native state of Mississippi. James's latest book, Tales From The River, has just been published.

He and his family thank God daily for His amazing blessings in their lives.

Mindfulness (being in the moment) at its best as we are walking with God. Wallace takes us on one of his walks to help us see the benefits and blessings of a daily walk (with God). As we walk alongside him it is almost enchanting to be reminded of all of the wonders in our world and ourselves. Reading this book not only encouraged me to get out for a daily walk but also "smell the roses" along the way. The pace of life today is rapid fire, but Wallace reminds us that if we will pause long enough to take a walk (both figuratively and literally) with God, we will be able to accomplish so much more than if we just rush into and through life.

As the author say, "Walk daily. Walk thoughtfully. Walk spiritually. Walk with stillness and focus. Walk for emotional rebalancing. Walk for mental and creative energy. Apply your insights, reflections, resolutions, and ideas to change your life in positive ways. Do this faithfully, and who knows what could happen. Walk with God. Every day will be a blessing, in ways untold, beyond imagination."

Simply written, easy read, would recommend.

For someone who loves to outside enjoying all of God's gift to us in nature I loved this book. It served as a refresher and a reminder that we are happier outside especially when we remember we can serve and worship God anywhere. Walking and talking with God can be so spiritually uplifting when we need it and even when we think we don't.

Simplistic at times, but I did get some inspiration out of it. Read it at a good time for me.

Thank you, GoodReads, as I won this book in a GoodReads Giveaway.
Mr. Wallace speaks simply (and provides reference where needed) while inspiring one to "walk with God." I appreciate the Bible verse references, ideas, thoughts, and reflections. This book is a good read for tweenagers and older. Mr. Wallace speaks refreshingly and honestly, making one see and feel as if they are truly going on these "walks" with him.

Just do it!

This book inspired me to start my own walks with God. Now I'm encouraging others to Walk with Him too. I have always loved walking and talking with God but now I often listen more than I talk. This book will encourage you in ways you may not expect.
