Flirting with Ruin — Lady Annis Burham was the target of aristocratic society's most persuasive gentlemen. For Annis was not only a young and beautiful widow, she was almost indecently rich. Men as diverse as the handsome, forceful Don Alonzo Rodriguez y Vega, the rakish Sir George Reeves, and the perfectly charming Mr. Walter Ulverstone swarmed around her like bees around a flower. Little did they and her other suitors suspect that Annis was not a widow but a total innocent as she risked scandal and far worse in her dazzling and dangerous dance of deception....

A bit of light entertainment. I wasn't terribly engaged by this rather silly tale but it wasn't awful. I couldn't connect with any of the rather superficial characters, & I found Annis a bit trying, but it all worked out in the end. 2.5★
