*****(5 Stars) The fast track to creating order out of chaos - This very helpful and well written book appeared like a life jacket in a stormy sea. I was drowning in clutter! My life was disorganised, inefficient, too chaotic and downright untidy. The book has made a tremendous difference to the quality of my life. I can understand why I created and accumulated so much clutter. Once I'd decided to bring order into the chaos, the benefits flow into every aspect of life. It really is a cleansing, healing process and I can't recommend the book highly enough. Beran Parry

*****(5 Stars) Awesome guide! I will be using these techniques for years to As a self-proclaimed hoarder, I have always needed a bit of help staying organized. When I was younger I could count on my mom to help me go through things, but now that I'm an adult I decided I need to become more self-starting. This guide was exactly what I needed and will be a resource that I continue to refer to as I work through the rest of my house. Sara M.

*****(5 Stars) TOP NOTCH BOOK. - This is the first book on "Clutter" that I have read (and I have read a few), that touched on DIGITAL CLUTTER and which actually got me to FINALLY clean up my PC. The chapter on getting rid of stuff with "Emotional" or sentimental value was outstanding. Here again, I had shoe boxes full of old letters and cards, which I really struggled to let go. It wasn't easy.

Ariel Benet Savant’s journey to becoming an author began when she was working in the corporate world. She felt Corporate America had a lot of restrictions, pressures, and aggravation, so she started writing short stories and creating mandala drawings in her spare time. She found that no matter how busy she was, she could find some moments of peace by doing this. After losing her job, she started to publish her work and several months later began writing full time. She’s never looked back since.

De-clutter Guide: How to Organize Your Life in 2 Weeks or Less, is so much more than a de-cluttering book; it's really about organizing yourself and your space to make your life as easy as possible. This book will definitely change your outlook and help free your mind so you can focus on more important things, like living.

The author encourages the reader to de-clutter with the end goal of a simpler, happier, more creative living space. Her suggestions are realistic, helping you focus on small steps while minimizing the guilt of having a messy history. It's a quick read and extremely easy to refer to later. The enthusiasm inside is infectious and makes you want to stand up and take action to de-clutter your life almost immediately.

This is one of the best books I have read on decluttering and organization. I fall under the category of being too busy. You know when you walk in the door and toss everything at the door because you only have 15 minutes to get dinner ready. I knew right away that this was a great book for me because I began to see things a little differently just a few pages in. In Section 1 it talks about how having a lot of stuff really gets you off track. It was a realization for me that the more things I had (most of them entirely unnecessary), the more out of control my environment became around me. It was like the things created clutter and that clutter created chaos. So, though I enjoyed every other chapter in the book I have to admit that the most valuable one for me came right in the beginning,.. the rest was just bonus. This is a great book that I highly recommend for those who have found it difficult to stay organized.

VERDICT: 3 to 4 stars for the genre (decluttering/organizing).

Short, practical, mostly to the point. About 48 pages of actual content, not counting some self-promotions/free offers/contact info. Lightly illustrated. Many good lists of things to do in each room/area of the home & work space. A few tips on related things such as paperwork, finances, file cabinets, credit card consolidation, computer clean-up, etc.

An excerpt from early in book:

The good news is that by learning to declutter your life you can start reaping the rewards such as:

* Increase in productivity
* Spend less time cleaning and dusting
* Increased clarity and focus
* The ability to find things more quickly
* Become less attached to stuff in general
* Create more time to do things you enjoy
