The genre of dedicatory epigram features an intriguing mixture of two in verse dedications, information is conveyed through the union of a material component, the physical votive object, and an immaterial one, the poetic text engraved thereon. For this reason, this commentary combines a description of the morphology of the monuments on which the epigrams were engraved with an analysis of the language and alphabets used in the poems.
