An old barn at night can be a noisy, AND a scary place as four young boys discover during their attempt to spend the night "camping out" in the barn. It's a fun story, with beautiful illustrations by Erick Ingraham. The surprise ending is adorable.

My five year old granddaughter chose this book at our visit to the library this week. It is a charming book and all children who grew up on a farm can relate to this story of a big brother's challenge to spend the night in the barn. The art and the story are charming.

I love this book and the illustrations. I think this would be a good book to use if you were writing about fear or scary stories. I think older children would love this book.
