This was a very difficult book to review. On the one hand it contains a wealth of valuable information on the individual aircraft used, and expands that information to include sub-classes and unique models of these aircraft. In addition, the supporting photography and drawings are first-rate and deserving of a higher rating. But the text is woefully sub-standard. It is wrought with misspellings and grammatical errors that really restrict the flow of the read. It is almost like the process of editing was skipped and the work went straight to publishing. In many ways I felt as if I were reading a rough draft in comparison to a finished work. Never in my life have I read such a poorly edited published work. I gave it two stars based on the photographs alone. The text is deserving of a single star if that. It is a disgrace grammatically and resembled something of what I would have expected in a high school classroom, not a finished publication. I have volume 2, I only am reluctant to read it for fear of the same quality. A better read would definitely be found elsewhere.
