I haven't really finished this book but referred to it as I was completing a chapter on soap opera, music and emotion. I investigated Irigaray's method of miming phallogocentric discourses which amounts to psychoanalyses of male philosophers. I compared this with mime in other genre. Whitford's book is a clear introduction to Irigary's work without removing the complexities and poetics of her style.
