Learned a lot from reading this book. I followed only half the advice given at the beginning: to read the book once all the way through, then start over and study it in depth. Well, I read it once all the way through. Started studying other texts in depth. This book doesn't use accents, except to show how they can change the meaning of words. While the intro to the book and the Goodreads review says that it stays away from the rigid rules of Grammar, it couldn't stay away from them and the author came up with his own nomenclature for them. I especially didn't like his "photofit" idea.
Very quick to get you up to speed on the alphabet and writing with testing examples. Then moves onto the more interesting and unique parts of the language. Will help you understand English better as well.
