Seventeenth book of the year. Picked this up from one of my favorite local book stores, Unopressive Non-Imperialist Bargain Books, right off West 4th. Written by Brazilian psycho-analyst and social scientist, Norberto Keppe, he delves brilliantly into the study of pycho-socio-pathology, or more specifically, the pathology of those seeking "power". Early in the book Keppe states that "all our present-day problems can be reduced to one, and that is the way in which social and economic power is being used". Grim stuff, but so much truth in it. I found a lot of Keppe's in-depth analysis to be extremely eye opening, especially in showing how the abuse of power in our social system has all-but corrupted all facets of human life, from work, to education and science, to the media and arts causing a great alienation within ones-self. A lot of this book spoke to my own frustrations in the socio economic world in a concise way that I truly appreciated and understood. Another really enlightening red-pill read.
Este livro é muito profundo e revelador, mas se está em busca de se tornar mais consciente vá adiante. A leitura não é tão fluída, mas ao final sairá melhor.
This profound and revealing book will conscientize those who are looking for it. Go for it! Not a easy reading, but at the end it will worth.
