I met Jay at feminist summer camp where they gave an excellent keynote on their happiness and productivity workout. This book is basically a slightly expanded version of that keynote, with their life story to ground why they have the perspective on this work that they do. If you are looking for a short, straightforward, practical, eminently kind book about personal development, I would recommend this. I particularly appreciate the inclusive and expansive approach they take to the spiritual, which acknowledges the woo without being too woo-y for someone who isn’t all about the woo.

Love the accessibility and practical application of personal development. Fun program to follow with a group. This book is based on a workshop and flows like a workday, quick start, down & dirty how to make the big, important stuff happen in your life and be happier with who and where you are right now.

Also, I am married to the author.
