I loved it. I wished it were longer and the stories had more to them, but it was a really great read. She gave practical tips that anyone can do and her personal stories really captured my attention. Karen is such an inspiration as a person and I can’t wait to work with her one day.

Very quick, easy read. Only 70 pages, all double spaced. Of the 70 pages 9 are left blank for journaling your goals.

It’s a good book if you are in need of a quick dose of inspiration. The entire book can be read in less than an hour.

Inside Karen touches on being an intern for Yandy Smith, Dipset and Funkmaster Flex. She also shares a couple of emotional stories about Steven “A$AP Yams” Rodriguez and Joseph Miles III.

Overall, I did expect more content from a book written by Karen Civil. This is like one chapter compared to other celebrity books. However, as small as the book is, there’s some good words of wisdom inside.

Quick Read

I have given this book 3 stars because it was just OK for me. The affirmations were great but I guess I was looking for something deeper. The stories she told were surface level and could be anyone's story.

Overall is was super short. I felt like this was an interview that was turned in a book. The text size was written as if this was for a middle school child. The message was drawn out and I would never read this book again. Don't recommend it unless you are bored.

I was expecting more

This book was ok. It was kind of everywhere and rushed. I loved her story. I was expecting a little more I guess.

Albuterol for an asthmatic

There's only one thing I can't say semi-negative about this book...it's a quick read. I wanted more, but the more is what you do with the gems Karen dropped. A very busy, NY, fast-paced kind of way, she covers situations and ideas that you've heard time-and-time again; somehow, she's able to make it stick. It's a quick, motivational, positive read.
