There can only be one man with two loyal friends and secrets from the past that will ultimately shake up the entire hood in Chicago; one man on a mission to destroy anyone who doesn’t abide by his rules, including tricky bitches who drop to their knees behind closed doors, yet stand tall against him when the time comes to collect the almighty dollar; one man with enough swagger in his walk, confidence in his talk, and the skills and mindset to build an empire. There is only one man bold enough to deliver multiple orgasms yet never tell a soul his real name. He has overpowering strength, a top-notch reputation, power like no other, and a bite that will hurt more than a dog. Who is this man? The streets of Chicago know him as the One and Only. . . .

Off top this one had a lot going for it, set in Chicago, written by Silk, and multiple narrators....
Although it was a decent listen, it just wasn't for me.

Good Read didn't like the way it ended. One thing I can say Bones is the s**t but he was wronge for what he did to Nate.Nate deserves everything that happened to him but he took the easy way out and Theo was a b**ch Smooth write a book about Bones and Pebbles I know that would be a good one but the moral to this story is BROS OVER HOES in that order.I can say alot about this book but I don't want to spoil it.

THE TITLE CARL WEBER'S KINGPINS: CHICAGO SAID ONE THING BUT THE STORYLINE SAID SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.
BEING A LOVER OF THE FABULOUS CITY OF CHICAGO I ANTICIPATED THERE BEING MORE ABOUT THE CHARACTERS IN THE CHI BUT THE STORYLINE LEFT ALOT TO BE DESIRED.
I FOUND MYSELF NOT GIVING A SH*T ABOUT THE CHARACTERS & WHAT THEY HAD GOTTEN THEMSELVES INVOLVED IN.
I DIDN'T LIKE WHAT OCCURRED WITH THE CHICK WHO SEEMES AS THOUGH SHE WAS LEFT TO FEND FOR HERSELF BECAUSE OF WHAT SHE FOUND HERSELF INVOLVED IN BACK IN THE CHI.
I REALLY WISHED THAT SILK SMOOTH WOULD'VE COME HARDER IN THIS BOOK ESPECIALLY WITH THE TITLE INDICATING THAT IT WOULD HAVE CHICAGO AS ITS BACKGROUND OR MAIN CHARACTER.
I WAS DISAPPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST IN THIS INSTALLMENT & WHERE THE AUTHORS HAD TAKEN THE STORY.

The plot took a different and unexpected trajectory which was engaging. I didn't like the ending. Bones was anything but cliche but his move in the end was just that. Alexis may just be his undoing.....need to Book 2 to find out.

Being From Chicago I Expected They Would Talk A Litter More About Chicago In The Book But They Didn’t. The Story Was Cool But I Want To See What Happens With Bones Next.

Good Read

Bones, exciting, handsome, decent and smart. His love for his grandma is loving and real love. As far his demeanor with the streets he is deadly. Its Amazing reading how Bones life transform him into this deadly, mean, cold young man so quickly. Then, my mind go back to where it all started with his mom, see our childhood affect our growing up.

Kingpins Chicago

I liked that bones knew that was his child and didn't kill the mom but dislike that he his suppose to be friends envy him and was going to try to kill him but he killed them and I liked that he saved the young lady life at the end.

Good Book

This story was really good. I liked the fact that it wasn't your typical drug dealer meets girl story. Bones was quite some character who was serious about his job.
