His direction on how to set up trellises is very difficult to understand. He uses terms that a true beginner might not understand, and he provides no pictures. There is also almost no information on how to prune.

This is the most disappointing books I ve ever read. Poorly written & no sketches illustrations or diagrams for what is a practical subject.
Most descriptions start with "you' ll want to do x" but rarely an explanation. Lots of recommendations to use herbicides & no mention of what that could do to the people eating the grapes or the wildlife /water source it might run off to. Luckily, better books are available.
I'm not going even to put this book in the charity pile.
