"I Loved This Story and Hope to Hear More"

"The First Door" was a fun and adventurous listen. I loved the premise of the story where he gets called upon by his uncle Vincent. And then there's the book. The characters were great especially the protagonist Benjamin.

This is a nice piece by Rain Oxford and I hope to hear more of the story. I found it intriguing and enjoyable. I only wish this one had been a bit longer.

Evan Harris did a super job narrating this story. His voice fit Benjamin perfectly. With his voice inflections he added another layer of fun. An overall great job.

Super Cute!!! I loved this little story, and cant wait for ep2! Ben gets a letter from his Uncle...and visits...his Uncle is interested in Ben's bloodline...he says Ben is powerful...well Ben takes his word for it and ends up in an alternate world...where there are Fairies, Wizards and apparently a Scorned Wicked Witch....SUPER DUPER FUNNY!!!!

I RECOMMEND!!!

The characters were easy to fall in love with and follow, along with the story. the author made the mental visions so easy and vivid of the surroundings and the characters actions felt so real.

The First Door is the first book in The Book Chronicles series by Rain Oxford and A.M. Oxford. When Benjamin Crosse’s long lost uncle reaches out to him for help, he does not know what to expect. His uncle tries to tell him that things are not as they seem. It is not until Benjamin ventures through a mysterious door that he starts to believe his uncle.

I wanted to give The First Door five stars because I was completely hooked by the time I got to the last page. The reason I gave it 4.5 stars was because of the way they left me hanging. I wish that the Oxford’s would have told a little bit more of the story before abruptly saying “to be continued”. I thought the first story would have at least ended with Benjamin achieving some answers or returning through the same door. What occurs in this story is still worth reading, but be warned you may anxious for some answers like I did. I really do think that this book and series has potential to be really good. The story is an adult version of Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia combined. There are fairies, wizards and weird creatures in the story. The story is funny at times and the things that occur in it make it hard to believe and even harder to put down. The character of Benjamin is likeable and just like me look for answers in a world he does not understand. If the first door lead him to this different of a world, I cannot imagine where the other doors lead. I recommend this book if you like fantasy series. I personally NEED to know what happens to Benjamin next, so I will be impatiently waiting for the next book in the series.
