*Escort by Mistake is a full standalone novel with a happy-ever-after and NO CLIFFHANGER*!
This was an okay read, what I did not understand about the female character of this book was: 1) she assumed she had cancer and not that she could be pregnant by having unprotected sex. There was no way possible that she could have not noticed that she did not have her period. 2) that she did not confront Tristian about the escorts, she just assumed that he was a sex addict. The title of this book is Escort by Mistake, in my opinion she was not an escort by mistake she made a choice near the final chapters of this book, because before she only work for an escort agency.
I usually like books from this author, but this might be my lowest rating for one of her books. It's been since years since this was published, so I guess that shows growth.
The main female character doesn't like the ideas of escorts. She harps on and on and on about it, yet it doesn't bother her too much as she's working the front desk (I get that she needs the $$$, but for as much as she bemoans this type of work, she never should have started due to moral reasons). She dislikes what she considers "easy" women yet is with the main male character in their first date. By HER request, they don't really talk about their lives (they sort of appreciate each other in the moment and don't really discuss other aspects of their lives) and yet she's upset later that he's not divulged things about HIS life outside of the context of their relationship. It feels more like a fwb situation than a romantic relationship to me. They aren't using protection and she's surprised that she's pregnant. When she discovers something that looks bad she hightails it back to where she is from only to find out it's all one big misunderstanding (although was it a misunderstanding if YOU refuse to talk about it to begin with). I feel like the main male character could do so much better than someone who chooses not to communicate, jumps to conclusions, and does the whole "a fish may live a bird but where will they live" schtick. There is no character growth in this book.

You ever read a book and just KNOW the main character is gonna annoy you? I usually love Tiana Cole's stuff but Cassidy is so insufferable in the beginning of the book. We get it, you don't like sex workers, "despite their profession, I can still be friends with them" oh how kind of you to befriend lowly escorts, "I could NEVER", girl, we get it!! It's just so righteous and irritating that it completely ruins her personality for me. It makes her seem uppity and judgemental. It sucks cause I really liked the meet cute in the beginning. Ugh.
This story had a lot of potential but it was so rushed. The majority of the story is Cassidy’s complaining and judgements. There wasn’t really any development of the relationship between her and Tristan and I didn’t really get a sense that they were “in love”. The whole thing fell flat to be honest.
I have read a number of books, but this one is quite different to me. Why because I never got Tristians side of things, his feelings his thoughts or nothing! Every feeling, thought etc. we’re all hers nothing about him!
What a beginning and ending! Cassidy and Tristen got their beautiful daughter, Dee and a happy ending. Secrets will tear up a relationship, honesty is the best policy. A very good book.
Storyline was ok … Literally she becomes and escort @ end of stories. Living in New York and having sex with no birth control? Happy that they got together but the silly naivety took it a little bit too far.
This man is love inside and out I fell in love with him as soon as he walk in the door.I don't believe this woman was this stupid, glad she woke up to what he was all about.
Just bad. Female lead is waaaay too judgmental. The plot is ridiculous and badly predictable. And for some reason, the author decide to write in past tense.
In this story you have Tristan and Cassidy who met when Tristan came into the coffee shop where Cassidy worked. The clicked right away and started a relationship a relationship that is built on lies because Cassidy is not being completely honest with Tristan. What I don't understand is how can Cassidy question whether she is good enough to be in Tristan's life when she isn't being honest with him. Doesn't she see the love he has for her. The story starts to move fast at the point when Cassidy leaves Tristan and it isn't until a year later before they see each other again. I don't want to give anymore away so I highly recommend that you read the book to find out what happens next.
This is one of the best book I have read. Hands down! All the elements are there. Cassidy and Tristan's story is sooo romantic. I wouldn't mind reading this story over and over again.
Communication is one of the greatest tools in life,if we would just talk to each other we would learn and be happy in life and be able to deal with all matters good or bad in life.
The title and the plot are very confusing, because in no way is she ever "mistaken" for an escort. And all those times of unprotected sex she seemed not to remember when she found out she was pregnant. Still a bit up in the air on deciding if I liked this read.
