For how long this book is, there was relatively little useful advice about preparing a strong tenure case that I could jot down, and some of it is out of date now and represents an older (and rather destructive) academic mindset. That said, it does take a more "hidden curriculum" sort of a approach to not just achieving tenure, but to understanding universities and what it is to be a professor. While I didn't need that information, I imagine it could be very useful to others, especially if one had experienced a mentorship gap.
