The Queen and Atlantis (aka Prophecy of Atlantis by Amanda Winters) – Adult Fantasy – April 2006

Shortly after Amanda learned that Raz chose her to be its Queen, she visits the gods and goddesses on Olympia. While she is there, she learns that she is needed on Earth to destroy Atlantis which has risen from the bottom of the ocean floor. Centuries ago, six Olympians ordered the future rise of Atlantis and mandated that their clones take over their rule. Realizing their grave mistake, they plead with Amanda to go to Atlantis and find the human man Pallid, who can stop their clones with a simple password. Taking her sister with her, Amanda meets up with Pallid and his friend, Jake. To escape the military officials scouting out the city, Amanda's magic sends them back in time before Atlantis' fall. Atlantis is the city of perfection where beauty and youth are praised among all who live there. But with such perfection comes a heavy price, and Pallid must decide how far he is willing to go to keep Atlantis on the map.

What's to say? I write a lot. I read often. I sleep little. Once in awhile, I've been known to clean the house. A number of kids live in my house and there's this guy they call dad and I call husband. All in all, it's a pretty good life. :-)

Ann has lived a happy, long life as queen of Raz. Now Ann is ready to pass along the title to the new queen. That queen is Amanda, Ann’s youngest daughter. Amanda visits with the gods and goddess of the city of Olympia. Amanda is in awe of the mystical underwater metropolis Atlantis. What Amanda learns though is that she must destroy Atlantis before it’s too late. Many centuries ago some Olympians had their clones over see Atlantis but something went wrong and now they need Amanda to locate a human man by the name of Pallid for he knows the password to stop the clones from creating the ultimate destruction.

As much as I was sad to see Ann no longer queen t was a nice change to read how her daughter, Amanda would handle the responsibles as the new queen of Raz. It was a nice touch on how Atlantis and the gods and goddess of Olympia played into this story line. The Queen of Atlantis ended this series in an excellent way. Ruth Nordin shoots for the stars and scores a winner. I look forward to reading many more books by this talented author.
