Like its predecessors, Girls from da Hood 4 introduces you to women from the streets of Brooklyn who known how to be on that grind.
In “Prada Plan,” you meet Disaya Morgan. She is a person of meager beginnings who vowed never to be that way again. She’s about making money and doesn’t care what she has to do to get it. If it’s dangerous, that just means the payout will be that much sweeter. But when she learns that one of her business dealings is about to go horribly wrong, she’s looking to get out for self-preservation. Could it be too late? Enter Disaya’s world of mind-blowing sex and quick cash as she puts you on to the Prada Plan.
In “Real Bitches Do Real Things,” Jada Simone is one of the realist “bitches” in New York. She keeps it hood, and the hood loves her for it—until she writes a tell-all book. Now the hood that once loved her for keeping it real has ostracized her. It’s left to Jada to make things right. This story will have you guessing until the most surprising end!
In “Last Woman Standing,” Londa is highly respected on the streets of Brooklyn for being a female hustler. She started making her paper with her partner, Blake, but when he gets sent upstate, she maintains by holding down the blocks by herself. She doesn’t need her good looks to get her money like other girls in her hood, and that’s why even the male hustlers give her respect. Still, with all of the money and power, Londa is looking to settle down. But as anyone from the streets can tell you, settling down is not that simple, especially when your partner gets out of prison. Now Londa is learning of lies, betrayal and deceit that she never saw coming. When she is asked to make one final score, will she fall victim to the corruption around her or will she come out of this as the last woman standing?

"Girls From Da Hood 4" is a fantastical fiction book. I personally enjoyed reading and listening to the vocabulary used by this author. I encourage young teenage females to read these types of books because it gives out knowledge for girls who are eager to learn about relationships and life in general. However, i can say that this book was not boring at all, it actually made me want to read it more and more. Hope you ladies read it and enjoy it like i did.
I had already ready Prada Plan - full series. It seems as if I've read Real Things also. Can't place it. Definitely kept my interest. The last story Last woman Standing was my favorite. Plan to seek out more from this author, Ayana Ellis. Theme: Betrayal
*Free w/ Audible trial* Feel a bit cheated the first story is just ch of the Prada Plan, which I’ve already read, but at least it’s a book I liked a lot. Indie’s fiancé turns abusive when he sees video of her cheating right before they celebrate her pregnancy. We rewind to see her and girls in her orbit work up from drunk girls to high end escorts or wannabe trophy wives.
2nd story Real Bitches is about an author who wrote about dirty Brooklyn cops crossing the path of a drug dealing rap star, people speculate is about the real Young Money. In an on-air interview, she is threatened to stop snitching, but she’s arrested for being the true murderer. She seems to have split personality disorder, not thinking she’s the malicious cop killer, Jada. She thinks she’s Alicia, who ran from the boyfriend who beat her until she miscarried. Having to start from scratch, she goes to her old girl, Lil Bit. Lil tries to be a ride or die, but it gets her into more trouble. She steals a suit from Macy’s for her first job interview—only to find out that’s where her friend’s interview is. Unable to get a job with no history, she gets mixed up with a coke dealer who chops off fingers if you cross them. To take their minds off the craziness, they go to a Young Money concert. Backstage, she’s not down with being treated like a slut, so she dips. Before she’s escaped, Young asks her to dinner some other time.
This story is very fast paced and all over the timeline in a sometimes disorienting way, but the great action and mix of worlds makes it forgivable. Erotic scenes aren’t cringey and violent scenes aren’t OTT or basic. At one point, her mouth is taped and she’s having gasoline splashed over her. But hokey but meta fun the real authors Ashley and JaQuavis are mentioned.
Last Woman Standing - Cat fight after a boy named Mo to get things going. Londa gets jumped by girls for his Chanel and diamonds at her front door but cops her piece before she’s too beat up. Her man pays for most things, and before then she was loyal to Blake, who’s locked up after their Bonnie & Clydeing. Turns out the girls are friend but the scrappier one suspiciously interested in Blake. Landa is also sick of Yasmine always bumming spa days and lobster off her. This story is read by Misha LaChappelle, who I hadn’t heard before, but she’s as good as Honey Jones or Hikane. Dialogue on point and everybody is playing their rouses well, interconnected with dope and hooking deals.
This books was so good. I loved reading about these inspirational young woman. They are smart and beautiful. Estoy feliz que puede leer este libro y creo que otros pueden leerlo también. Cinco estrellas.
Amazingly gifted authors in this anthology present women's issues that we all face. I was able to read this book from cover to cover without putting it down.
Crazy short stories that make you question your judgment. You totally want to read more by these authors immediately. The first short story is a snippet of the full book. It was a pleasant recap. I can't wait to read the rest of the Jada story and learn more about Londa.
Yaya is all about money in life , especially with her best friend.. She does whatever she can to get money. Strip , trick , lick whatever . But when she meets indie her whole outlook on life changed .. And it made her want to change. But the fact of her friend contacting aids and needing treatment & money she half way went back into her old ways .. Then you always have people around that envy you and that's what happened , yaya tried to stop her lifestyle and in the middle of it all it completely backfired... And if you ask me she lost the best man she could ever manage to have .. Over nothing .. I can't wait to read prada plan, as soon as I get done writing this review that's where I'm going !
Ylesha / jada I don't even know what to call it .. Jada ends up killing a cop and getting sentenced to life .. But if she pleads insanity she can get a year & go on about life .. Crazy isn't it ?! So she has to talk to the doctor that deals with mental people .. She actually gets over on the doctor claiming herself to be ylesha coleman & she basis her life story off previous books she has read .., she wins , and ends up getting a year and be set free even after killing a police .. But you know Karma always comes back man & she has enemies, especially with rapper young money
Last and always least , Londa. Londa was so damn loyal to her friends and seemed like she always got shitted on. Blake is in the county locked up but him and Londa go way back . Then there is yazmine who she has been cool with since 4th grade. They both turn on her for each other & end up turning on each other also ... It seems like money jealousy & murder is a big part of this story , but it was good !

At first it was kinda confusing because i was gettin the stories mixed up cause i thot it was one book. but then i remembered that it was 3 stories and got it all together. BOOK WAS GREAT.!
The Grils from Da Hood Are always down for whatever, Ashley shows her skill with her pen in The Prada Plan. JaQuavis is in the middle doing his solo thang, and then wrapping it is come Ayanna. I love that fact the the Girls From Da hood Series is coming with different author each time, giving us a taste of what they are working with. You will not be disappointed with this read.
