Justice Owed
When Ryan and Tessa Monroe perish in their home’s blazing inferno their three sons, long estranged from each other, return to Tucson for the funeral. Differences continue to divide them until two spent bullets, revealed in the hand of the undertaker, brings them to the shocking realization that their parents were murdered and the fire set to cover it. While the brothers search for who would murder two beloved, elderly store owners, a long-buried history emerges painting a picture of a past they never knew existed; a past that boils down to one man and his obsession for revenge. During their hunt for the murderer, the brothers come to realize that blood is thicker than the petty differences that have divided their past as the quest for the justice owed their parents rebuilds the bonds between them.

About the author
Dave P. Fisher
122 books42 followers I have been a writer of adventure novels of the Old West. I have now branched out to writing contemporary crime novels with a suspense/mystery base. What I feel makes these unique is that they are set in the modern West and Alaska, as opposed to exotic world and big city settings. They involve average people and local law enforcement agencies.
My writing influence comes from my ancestral roots. Mountain men, voyageurs, pioneers, and explorers make up the branches of my family tree. My paternal grandfather was Blackfoot Indian from Montana. My maternal grandfather was a Minnesota lumberjack, both men were born in the 1800’s.
As a lifelong outdoorsman I have inherited that pioneer blood and followed in the footsteps of both my families. I have experienced life in the Alaska bush, as well as the wilderness of the Rocky and Cascade Mountains, as a working cowboy, guide, horsepacker, hunter, and trapper.
I also spent several years as a Colorado Deputy Sheriff. This experience in the law enforcement field allows me an intimate insight to the system that I weave into my new crime genre stories.
I incorporate all of my experiences into my stories to ingrain them with authenticity and draw the reader into the story by their realism and a personal knowledge of the people and lifestyle involved.
I have near to 500 fiction and non-fiction works published. Included are: 19 novels and short story collections, 70 short stories, and inclusion in 18 anthologies. I am the first 3 time winner of the Will Rogers Medallion Award, in 2008 for Best Western Fiction, and again in 2013 for Best Western Humor, and 2014 for Best Western Novel. Nine of my short stories have earned Reader’s Choice Awards.

"THE MONROE BROTHERS REVENGE"
Mother and father murdered; house set a fire to hide the horrific deed. Brothers reunited by the death/murder of their parents. Deep dark secrets are exposed, that only a few know about. Crooked sheriff, whose on the take and hates the Monroe family, especially the youngest son Cordell, who, when you read this adventure you'll come to understand the reasons. Its not really clear, but you can kind of surmise the reason...maybe..The brothers hunt down the killer of their parents. Thru the enduring chase, they become closer, and watch each other's back..as brothers should do. The oldest and youngest end their dislike for each other. This adventure gives you an understanding of family squabbles, which unfortunately you can't clear your conscious or ask for forgiveness when person or persons have passed over to the other side. This wild west adventure holds a lot of moral and ethical insight of the people settling the mighty west.

Great Western Book
Westerns are not a genre I usually choose. The description of the book spoke to me. A house with 2 people inside is burned to the ground. The couple who lived there were found in the cellar and they had both been killed by a bullet to the head. They had three sons, one lived close on a ranch, one was a lawyer and the youngest a scoundrel and probably a badman. The three brothers have not spoken in 3 years. They are brought together and bond deciding to find the person or persons who killed their parents. There is a big secret they had no knowledge of.
The book has excellent characters, story, plot line and writing. I was engrossed within the first few pages. One of the best books I have read this year.

This was a fast paced adventure! The type of western that keeps you on the edge of your seat! Typical of Mr. Fisher's gifted writing style, the story was clean, full of action, and captivating! He continues to satisfy my desire for good, down to earth, honorable family-oriented, fiction.

I think the author has a winner here!!
A Western! A Murder Mystery! Old family secrets!! All rolled up into one well told story! I LOVE old western movies & crime stories, so I had to give this book a try!!
Three estranged brothers have gather together for the funeral of their parents, who died in a house fire. On the day of the funeral, the coroner tells the brothers something that he didn't even tell the Sheriff! The parents were shot execution style!! (Not that the sheriff would have listened anyway..he didn't get along too well with & he had a very strong hatred towards the victims youngest son)!!
So, despite their own animosity towards each other..the brothers decide that it's up to them to find who murdered their parents and to seek the "Justice Owed" to their parents!
I couldn't put this one down because not only did the words seem to flow easily .. I wanted justice for the parents too!!

Justice indeed
I believe most of us wish for the courage and the ability to seek justice personally. Life in the old west was hard in many ways but calls to our spirits.
Mr. Fisher lets us answer that call for a while.
