Bucky Stone Adventures #1

Making Waves at Hampton Beach High

Rate this book
Summer is over, and Hampton Beach High is going full swing. But this year's going to be different from anything these kids have known before. Bucky Stone, the new guy from the little church school, didn't get to go to the academy. So he's decided to make the most of Hampton Beach High. And it's going to be a pretty radical year for everyone involved!
Bucky's determined to help at least one other student find Christ. It's going to mean standing apart from the crowd. And it's not going to be easy. The girl he likes loves to dance. His best friend has a pretty wild habit. And a lot of these kids have never given Jesus a second thought.
But with God's help and a hair-raising action-packed ski trip, things at Hampton Beach High begin to change. One person at a time.

This particular book starts out with Bucky being a very compliant, too perfect freshman, saying the right thing to his parents, rinsing the dishes without being asked, and treating his 1st grade sister the way we would all like to see siblings getting along. Later on the reader gets a peek at the human side of him.

This book was a bit too “religious” for me with certain teachings that Bucky hopes to pass on to some of his classmates.

Other than the aforementioned, it was a pretty good clean story.
