John McLaughlin, based primarily in California, is considered to be one of the pioneers of minimalist and hard edge painting. Susan C. Larsen, Ph.D. has served as Curator of the Permanent Collection at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; Professor of Art History, University of Southern California; Collector, Archives of American Art and is currently Consulting Curator for the Clinton Hill/Allen Tran Foundation of Rancho Mirage, California.

Susan is a specialist on American modernism, especially that of the 1930s. She lives with her husband, Lauri Robert Martin, and five dogs in rural Maine.
