So pleased to have won 'Pierre the Bear with his Best Friend Tyler' in a recent Goodreads First Reads giveaway.
This is a wonderful children's story and loved the illustrations. I am looking forward to reading this book along with my young grandson.

I know where this book is going. This summer when I get to see my youngest granddaughter we will read before her bedtime.
The life/times of Pierre (Bear) & his BMF; Tyler.
A shout out to Helen Proffitt.
I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.
A very awesome book cover, colorful hand drawn illustrations, great font & writing style. A very well written elementary age children’s book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great elementary age children’s movie, an animated cartoon, or a mini TV series. A very easy rating of 5 stars.
Thank you for the free Goodreads; MakingConnections; Author House; paperback book

I was excited to receive this book in a Goodreads giveaway. I thought the premise of this book was really cute. However, I found it a very disjointed read. It was a book that could have been so much more. It left the little guy I read it to asking questions. Why did Tyler not go with Pierre as he visited all his friends and received his winter clothes? Why did they make the poor bear wait out in the cold while they searched or made the items they were going to gift to him? Why did someone not invite Pierre to come and even stay in a warm house to hibernate? Maybe, I am just to logical or practical for this book, but the little one I read it too did not enjoy the story. He asked me lots of questions and came up with his own version of the story that he liked a lot more.

Pierre the Bear with His Best Friend Tyler is a cute book with a fun story. It shows how people have different talents - knitting, crocheting, etc. - and no matter what your talent is, you can always help others in some way. The story is easy to follow and is great for very young children. The illustrations are cute and simple.
I received this complimentary book through Goodreads....thanks Goodreads!!
