This book always stays on my shelf. It was a fascinating read. I've used it for a number of research articles over the years. There's many lessons for the intelligence or law enforcement agent to learn about how the successes and failures that those that came before had.

I was in the Salt Lake City Public Library in about 2003 sometime because I was in Judge Bohlin's Court [wbb@bohlingmediation.com Phone: 801-943-3730] for using the family car. Judge Ernest Frank Baldwin, Jr. told me in 1973 that Mary Lou Godbe would be my new mother and I should treat her as my real mother. I was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of using Ms. Godbe's car without permission in 2002.
While I was going downtown to see Judge Bohlin about it, I had time to visit the Library and found SECRET POLICE on the shelf. Ms. Godbe had a baby in 1975 and her husband/my father, told me in 1981(just prior to his death in 1981 of Pneumonia), that Haldol was a pleasurable joyride to the user. At Ms. Godbe's urging he dispensed some of this drug to me in about 1979 and his last words were that he had done a good thing.
The SECRET POLICE tells of the SAVAK using Haldol to torture people. Another method of torture that they use is to hang people upside down and let German Shepard dogs bite their faces. This book is intriguing and it is frightening how many people don't have the information that Haldol use is extremely painful and is often mistaken by doctors as a pleasant experience.
