This is a sweet book about a Father-son relationship depicted through different animals with their offspring. Though it is ends with the Dad and his son, the majority of the book is fairly gender neutral and our girls enjoyed reading it with their Dad. The narrative is simple enough that our oldest was able to read the whole book to her Dad with little assistance. The illustrations are soft, mostly pastel drawings, and some are fairly realistic; others are funny.
