I had previously read a few select pages out of this book, but I decided this time to start in December and really try to read a devotion each day -- and I stuck to that this time! I enjoyed traveling through
the first several chapters of Genesis with the author. Each day includes a scripture verse, a meditation, a "traveling mercy and a note to self. Some days more than others spoke to me, but all of the devotions were relatable and helpful.

I love Jane's writing and have found several of her devotionals to be life-changing. Unfortunately, this was not one of them. I had a hard time relating to the stories of the biblical characters and found myself continually looking for less pain, more purpose. Not every one can be a winner; I'll still be using Jane's devotional for the spring season!
