Lots of pictures help guide you through the a number (14 exactly) scenarios that you may come across as a modeler. I am a an advanced beginner or barely an intermediate, so I found this book very helpful. I have tried a few of the techniques given and want to do more, despite the outcome. That's the fun of modelling. All of the material mentioned is available in the USA online. My only complaint is that the Aztek airbrush is overlooked. While it has it's drawbacks, I think many people don't like it because it is mostly plastic. It should be evaluated on its performance not what it is made from.
Great stuff for model builders. What's available in the US is not much, you have to have a great relationship with an importer here in the US to have full access to all the painting products that are out there. Most comes from Europe these days, some from Asia. Although published by an American publisher, the writer for instance is an Australian, that's not a bad thing but it shows the sorry state of the hobby in the US theses days. And I'm not sure why, cuz its obviously as popular if not more so than its ever been in the rest of the world. Good stuff if you wanta learn about airbrushes.
