America the Beautiful is not the same country. Terrorist attacks have taken their toll and Griffin is tiredly making his way in the new worn out city of New York.

Trains still work, people still work, there is still work. But the best seems to go to the military to continue the fight for survival. All is bad news, people are paranoid and life goes on. Until…

This made me think of what even the most insignificant being brings to the table, whether fumbling for answers, scrounging for friends or just getting out of bed – it has an effect on everyone. An odd little volume of what could happen and how we would adjust. I read it in one sitting.

I got this book as in the giveaway and signed by the author. Thank you. I enjoyed the book as this was my first book in dystopian genre. I think it has the element of loneliness, hope, survival and vulnerability. The theme of the story involves real-life and current conflicts around the world that eventually led to World War III perhaps. As The United States trying to survive alone with no allies, the crisis continue to grow inside the U.S. with terrorism, rebellion and other social crisis. The only part was dislikable is the cruilty and gruesome scenes but it goes with the story. Even though it's fiction but it also gives perspective on the most ugliest nature of human beings that is not so different than in real life for some. Lastly, it does highlight the vulnerability of the United States in many ways that something we all need to protect and appreciate such as morals, values, freedom, justice and so on.
Thank you for a great book. I would recommand this book to anyone.

This was a quick read. I enjoyed the story very much, but was left with some unanswered questions. I also felt I could relate to the morbid desperation of the characters, and see an almost parallel reflection of our own reality. All in all , I am very proud to know the author and to witness a piece of art created by her. Very well written story that hints at a close future that could very well exist. Five stars

A great fast paced read...it was intriguing and unusual and gave me a feeling like there should be more to it...much more. Finishing the book in one day, it is a book that reads rather quickly and intensely. More extensive review coming soon...but I want to give a thanks first to the peeps at goodreads and to the author Alisa Perederey for a great read.

I won this in a first reads contest. It was a fun, fast-paced, dystopian story. At times it was a bit jumpy and I felt disconnected from the story, but overall I enjoyed it. It left an open ending, but I would certainly be interested in reading a sequel if there was one. Overall a fun read.
