Unfortunately, most of us know what bad leadership looks like from firsthand experiences. Oh, what I wouldn't give to make The Call to Lead a mandatory read for all supervisors. This book is that good. It is a straightforward, no nonsense, how to do it right, book on developing a management style built on competence/character, common sense and a concern for people. Andrew Harvey educates and entertains in this manual for exceptional managers, as he includes examples of both good and bad experiences from his own career. The Call to Lead is beneficial to anyone who wants to contribute their best to the workplace.
