Whoever said, “No Man is an Island,” obviously didn’t send the memo to A.J. Tipton!

She felt the earth move when he touched her. A worn out cliché? Heck no! Becca really did feel the earth move when Carr saved her from killing herself in a parachute jump gone wrong. Carr is one of the four Viking brothers who really, really ticked off a powerful witch and has been paying for it for over 1000 years, living out his immortal existence as an island, yep, no typo, you read that right.

Becca is on a mission of life and death, a mission she believes in, that may be the last chance to save her young nephew. She needs a special plant and Lola claims she knows where to find it. Who knew the island was really a man, a man who has not been with a woman for eons but has NOT forgotten what a woman likes? But he, too needs that plant, the last one on earth. Who should receive the magical plant, the young boy who should have years ahead of him that are being stolen or a lonely man who has suffered for a sin committed long ago and finds his heart warming to a strong woman on a mission?

This short is quite well written. Tipton takes an intriguing concept and makes it into an erotically entertaining story. This unique look at Viking lore and botany kept me hooked throughout. Tipton took the everyday and turned it on its head. At the same time, she made it very easy to picture the beauty of this island, including the flora, fauna, and its lone inhabitant. To top that off, I really enjoyed getting to know the characters. Our heroine’s need to save her nephew but guilt over the cost and our hero’s selfless sacrifice took an already hot story and made it emotionally rewarding as well.

This was a very hot, quick read that was a pleasure to enjoy. It’s a great addition to Tipton’s Her Elemental Viking series that is well worth the time.

This was a short novella about a cursed viking who was banished to an island in an unusual way. Carr is the last of the Viking brothers cursed by a witch. He is cursed to stay on the island....to be the island until the curse is broken. Which he thought would never happen until Becca parachutes onto his island have never read a book that used plants for sexual uses (one of the plants that Carr controls transforms into a 7" vibrator) but in a way, because Carr was the island, it made sense and was totally hot. And when he became human, the sex was even better.

Only took me two days because I have a toddler that doesn't allow me to listen a lot. It had a very nice end too.

I loved the imagination in this book, all the island shifting and changing as Becca searches is just awesome. So cleverly inspired and described, the colours sounded vibrant. I am a UK resident so I know Scotland is beautiful, but the weather is very hit and miss in real life. Lots of rain and mist but this made it sound gorgeous. The story itself sparks your own imagination as you read and the series is also fantastic, I love that you can read it as a romance that's a bit more lighthearted. Because these books are short it is easy to fit them in maybe a lunch break or an hour in the evening to distress after a long day.

I loved the story. It was well written with a steady pace to keep it moving along. Hated it when it ended. The characters were likable and have chemistry. They turned the pages hot, from their hot island moments. The authors sure can pull me into the world they made for their characters.
Loving the series, another favorite from the author.

This was a clever short novella about a cursed viking who was banished to an island in an unusual way - he was cursed to be the island. (rock hard...island....get it?!!) This is a sexy story that short but fun to read about a botanist who travels to the remote island in search of a flower that could be the last hope of saving her nephew's life. What she finds is Carr, the island and the viking.

Her Rock Hard Viking (Her Elemental Viking #4) by A.J. Tipton was another good read. Carr was cursed to become the island that he invaded. Becca goes to the island to find a miracle cure to save her family. I really enjoyed Carr and Becca's story.

Another great story in this series. Magic is everywhere in this series, and it is very unique in every story. To fall in love with an island is unheard of anywhere else and it has the perfect storyline in this one. Narration, as it has been in the previous book is great!

I was very excited to read Carr's story and I wasn't disappointed!!!

Becca is a botanist on a desperate mission. She is trying to locate a rare flower that will help cure her nephew an incurable disease that he was dying of. This flower is located on an island in the middle of nowhere, and unbeknownst to her, is alive.

Carr is the last of the Viking brothers cursed by a witch. He is cursed to stay on the island....to be the island until the curse is broken. Which he thought would never happen until Becca parachutes onto his island.
I have never read a book that used plants for sexual uses (one of the plants that Carr controls transforms into a 7" vibrator) but in a way, because Carr was the island, it made sense and was totally hot. And when he became human, the sex was even better.

I also thought the whole sub story of her nephew and his illness for heartbreaking and I loved that storyline was brought to very nice end too.

Cursed by the same witch who cursed his three brothers before him, Carr learns through centuries of isolation to use the power of his surroundings wisely. With limited power he must learn to restrain his desires and protect his heart the old fashion way.

Becca is desperate to find a cure for her sick nephew. He doesn't have long left and scientific research is the only thing that is keeping her hopeful, even though the burden of leaving her family behind to find a cure is a pressing guilt.

With limited time can Becca make room in her heart and mind for something other than science and believe in something far greater then herself- magic?

Will Carr be just the force to make a believer out of Becca and restore her faith?

Recommended for mature audience, only, due to graphic sexual scenes.

Negatives:
There are some grammatical errors that distract from the over all reading experience.

I decided to read the book because the premise was just so far-fetched to me. The writing was poor, I found several grammatical errors. It would cause me to read the same sentence three and four times because I just couldn't believe that the specific sentence was published. Where was the proof reader on this?

The story line was OK. I felt that the character development was very lacking. There were a good many items in the book that I wish had been better explained, or explained at all. The story ended up being more like a Beauty and the Beast tale.

It was a quick read. Only took me two days because I have a toddler that doesn't allow me to read a lot. Not sure I would recommend this book, but it was mildly entertaining.

Her Rock Hard Viking drew me with it's unusual premise. A man cursed to live out his days as an island. Carr has grown used to living alone. The island has become his pride and joy and he's found peace in the solitude of the island.

That is until Becca shows up. Looking for a plant that will help save her nephew the island is her last hope. What she doesn't expect is for the island to speak to her in more ways than one. She didn't go looking for love on the island but love found her.

Her Rock Hard Viking is my favorite in the series so far. I really enjoyed the unique concept and look forward to more of Tipton's work.

Becca travels to a mysterious island in the hopes of finding a mythical cure for her dying nephew. She wasn't expecting the island to be alive. Carr was cursed by the witch and has been living as the island for centuries and would do anything to have the beautiful Becca. Can he preform a selfless act and break the curse or is he destined to be an island forever.

OK con una isla ... es lo unico que dire sobre el tema

En general libros felices con finales felices, sagas que te dan a entender que no simpre se forman relaciones con bases complejas o con algun acesino serial detras de la principal. Como repeti muchas veces historia sencilla y sin coplicaciones muy grandes.

Recomendada si quieren cambiar.
