Brief but interesting story of Portugal's search for the eastern sea route to India and the Spice Islands. It starts with Henry the Navigator and his foresightedness to send ships down the west coast of Africa to determine if India can be reached via the sea. Every journey by various explorers went a little bit further until Diaz finally used the wind currents to get around what is now called the Cape of Good Hope.
