A young girl discovers she has a special talent when her parents are off playing tennis. Her father, thinking that tennis is something she would automatically enjoy, buys her a racket and tries to make her see how great it is. All the time he is trying to teach her to play tennis, she is trying to show him just how good she is at her talent. Will he allow her to follow her dreams, or force her to do what he feels she should enjoy? I found this book in my elementary school library and enjoyed it so much, I wrote it out word for word on my writing paper to practice my handwriting. I found this about 10 years ago and knew I needed to find a copy of this book. Luckily Amazon made it possible.
This book is about a girl name Jenny who loves gymnastic very much. Her dad at first doesn't understood her. He bought her a tennis racket and attempt to teach her how to play tennis. He said that since he played tennis and her mom play tennis she shoud know how to play tennis too. No matter what he does Jenny cannot liked tennis because it wasn't for her. Finally he let her be what she wants to be and give her the freedom to express herself. This book is good to teach children about autonomy. It is good to give children the choice of doing what they like and making their own decision.
