Angels. Demons. Ancient prophecies. For seventeen year old Emma Boyd, they’re nothing more than fantastic bible stories. Until she meets the enigmatic and slightly grouchy Pitch and finds herself pulled into his world of mystery and danger. With the help of a few friends, the two of them must learn to trust and rely on each other if they’re going to survive Lords of the underworld, divine intervention, and millennia of family drama. Will their bond be strong enough?
Kay Herrmann began her love affair with words when she taught herself to read at age four. Since learning to write in grade school, she has penned countless short stories, some good, some never worthy of ever seeing the light of day again.
At age eleven, she was introduced to C.S. Lewis and his fantastical world of Narnia, which inspired her to start creating her own universes in her imagination. Shortly after she fell in love with the story of a boy named Harry Potter, which pushed her to always envision the impossible. She has yet to stop either.
Miss Herrmann currently lives in a military town in Georgia, where she spends her days writing, herding small humans at her job, and trying to remind her cat of who is actually in charge.
I normally leave my thoughts on a book if it really exceeds my expectation and leaves me wanting more.
I WANT MORE!!!
This story was easy to follow even with the introduction of several characters. This is NOT your normal, angels and demons storyline. It is totally unique and refreshing.
Pitch - Part human part angel and HOTNESS covered in tattoos with an attitude that is tough and fuck all but underneath that tough exterior is a man who feels much more than he lets on.
Cam - Boyishly good looks with a free spirit type attitude that no matter your mood you want to mother but secretly lust after as well. He's Pitch's brother and is full on angel boy.
Emma - Well let's just say this poor girl has a fucked up kinda life but tries to stay positive. When she meets the boys she goes through a slew of emotions but remember.....TATTOOS, MUSCLES, ATTITUDE is a recipe a nun would have a hard time not lusting over.
But where there is good...there has to be evil. This is an extremely talented new author, so I don't want to give any spoilers but let me just say...YOU WILL NOT REGRET reading this. I started and couldn't put it down until I finished it. Now the worst part is waiting for BOOK 2!!!!
